Helping the world evolve from crypto curious to crypto native. We feature the voices of diverse, global web3 builders.
Crypto Sapiens has joined the Panvala League with the outlook to not just expand the reward system for its contributing members, but also connect with other communities and assist in amplifying the work they are building in the web3 space.
What is Panvala? How will this collaboration advance the Crypto Sapiens mission? Let's find out.
We were recently invited to the Panvala Community call to introduced Crypto Sapiens, our mission, and collaboration with the Panvala League. You can watch it here:
Panvala is a community-centric hub, founded by Niran Babalola in 2015, and launched by its team in 2019. It seeks to build a world where community life can take center stage in our society, by empowering communities to retain their marketing dollar through stamps. Hereby, shifting communities from the model of paying out their marketing dollars to de-local marketing firms and third-parties. Panvala is operated by its communities, members, and other individuals who want to help communities succeed. Let's explore Panvala Stamps a bit, shall we?
Stamps are Panvala’s vehicle for revolutionizing the marketing industry to empower communities to take the center stage in social life. Panvala Stamps are NFT Proof-of protocols gained by following a specific action as selected by the member community or coalition that created it. Each stamp has a value pegged in $ or other currency which is sent to the Panvala community of a user’s choice when they complete the action and mint the collective NFT. This provides a great way to fund your communities. Stamps are a great way to obtain community-generated revenue for your community’s project.
Also, by collecting more stamps and redeeming them, you can add more value to the budgets of communities in the Panvala space including yours. Thereby, shifting the value power given to centralized advertising powerhouses like Google and Facebook to our communities.
There are lots of great stamps available for claiming on Panvala's website. Let's look at one of the currently available stamps that share a particular affinity with our parent partner and Panvala member community BanklessDAO; The Index Coop Stamp.
Index Coop exposes you to; Easy access to crypto strategies, a cost-efficient buy and holds system, expert methodologists and great technology, and by claiming the Index Coop Stamp and redeeming them in BanklessDAO or Crypto Sapiens, you are afforded an avenue to generate funds for your community. Furthermore, it has also been observed that many in BanklessDAO are involved in crypto investing, which Index Coop offers.
In Panvala, it is funded with $3 for communities and it requires just one action to claim. Hence, making it time effective. Check out a quick pictorial walkthrough to claim an index coop stamp for Bankless DAO (just an example) in Panvala via this link.
Crypto Sapiens plans to join the Panvala League, Create a Crypto Sapiens Stamp and buy and stake some PAN to enable donation matching on Gitcoin. Gitcoin supports communities involved in developing digital public goods by creating financial freedom through matched donation campaigns. We will also work with the Giveth project which helps communities involved in social good projects by donating with zero added fees.
Communities joining the Panvala league have the platform to thrive through a shared treasury and expanded member network. How does this work?
Communities stake PAN tokens to earn donations through quadratic funding from Panvala’s inflation. This capacity is a maximum to that matching from the Panvala shared treasury equal to the community’s % staked PAN to the total of all staked PAN.
When you buy PAN tokens and stake them in your community, they receive funding from the endowment, proportionally to the amount staked and capped by the size of your community, thereby increasing your community's donation matching multiplier.
With over 80+ member communities and counting, Panvala is still connecting communities and supporting community-minded individuals to flourish. Some of its members are; ArtFan, BanklessDAO, DAppNode, Ethereum France, Gitcoin, Giveth, Opolis, and Women of Crypto Art, to name a few. These communities empower one another by channeling marketing dollars back to the ecosystem.
…let's talk about coalitions
Coalitions are the “soul of the community life” as the expression of aligned interest among its member communities... They are new community sub-platforms in Panvala that connects member communities, who can then share ideas, create new teams, and spin off shared projects. Member communities through their participation in Panvala’s coalitions get the chance to earn more funding from Panvala’s endowment than independent communities.
To form a coalition, three organizations that are members of Panvala are expected to collaborate and fill out the registration form. Here are some of the coalitions that excite us the most:
Creates support, learning opportunities, and connections between organizations within the wider ecosystem.
Calls into question the dominant approach to human coordination by using socioeconomic infrastructure to connect its communities and help them thrive.
Its utmost goal is to set up a collaborative atmosphere in its emerging field and also to create a standard channel that develops spaces for important ideas to be examined amongst others.
Its mission is to support and motivate the leadership of women in web3 and the organizations that they run
Panvala has been operating as a self-sustaining system since its launch on August 22, 2019, during a speech at DappCon in Berlin, Germany, but it has fellows who coordinate its various arms. Some are also familiar with the Bankless DAO and Crypto Sapiens Community. Let's meet them briefly;
Niran Babalola - Founder (Also in Crypto Sapiens and BanklessDAO)
Rachel Holmes - Community Fellow (Also in BanklessDAO)
Zayi Reyes - Media Fellow
Marko Prljic - UX Fellow
Kate Hall - Media Fellow
Dr. Kelly Page - Education Fellow (Also in Crypto Sapiens)
Jovian - Communication Fellow (Also in BanklessDAO)
Others include
Paul - (Also in BanklessDAO)
Stephen Reid - (Also in BanklessDAO)
In Paul's words, BanklessDAO’s newsletters on crypto topics are “great”. This further shows how widely recognized and appreciated the effort our communities are investing in the web 3 space is.
All-in-all, the future looks bright with Crypto Sapiens’ integration into the Panvala ecosystem. Watch out for it!
