All of our testnets have officially wrapped up, the dust has settled, and now we open the doors to the next chapter: Dango Mainnet Alpha.
Before we get into what’s live, what’s coming, and why this matters, let’s take one step back.
Dango is a new kind of chain. A high-performance L1 with a fully on-chain CLOB at its core. A super DeFi app built for serious on-chain trading, but packaged with the smoothness of a CEX. Spot, spot margin, perps, passive market-making, unified accounts, human-readable usernames, fast settlement cycles, fairness baked in everywhere.
Most chains are designed and then the apps figure themselves out later. We flipped that. We designed the exchange first, then built the chain around it. Everything you felt on testnet came from that philosophy.
And now we get to put it all to work.
Alpha is our “early access” chapter. It’s not meant to be comfortable. It’s meant to be stable enough to start pushing real flows through the system while we tighten every bolt.
Here’s what’s coming online in this first phase:
The full Dango chain, running in production for the first time.
The account system, with usernames and flexible auth.
The base infrastructure for the exchange, but not yet the full app surface.
Internal liquidity only. The team will trade using our own funds to confirm the system behaves the way it should under real conditions.
No incentives, no points, no farming, no liquidity expectations. This is true alpha, testing terrain.
According to our founder, Larry:
“Use it at your own risk. Glitches are expected. Liquidity will be thin.”
Exactly how alpha should be.
This isn’t a marketing moment. This is the moment where a new L1 and a new exchange architecture touch real mainnet conditions.
A few reasons why Alpha is a big deal:
1. We’re testing with our own funds
No one else’s liquidity, no external trust. If something misbehaves, it’s our pain, not yours.
2. We get to validate the engine we’ve been building for a year
The core matching engine. The periodic auctions. The anti-toxic-flow design. The username-based account system. Everything now meets reality.
3. It sets the stage for public mainnet
Alpha is the rehearsal. Public mainnet is the show. And when public mainnet arrives, the spot exchange goes live with real market flow.

Here’s what you can expect from us this year.
January 2026:
Public Mainnet launch with our first flagship product, the Spot Exchange. Listings begin with ETH, SOL, and BTC, followed by long-tail assets as infrastructure scales.
Then the big three priorities kick in:
Perpetual Futures Exchange
The Dango Points Program
Native mobile apps for iOS and Android
March 2026:
Perps go live. The points campaign begins, giving a significant advantage to OAT holders and early community members.
Summer 2026:
TGE. It all comes together.
It’s a clean, simple runway from alpha to the real thing.

Every cycle, new perps DEXs appear. Most look the same. Dango isn’t trying to be one of them.
We’re building:
A real on-chain CLOB, not an AMM repaint
A unified super app, not dozens of siloed frontends
Fair auctions, not toxic-flow fishing ponds
Democratized market making, not latency games
A chain purpose-built for trading, not a general L1 pretending to be fast
A community-first distribution, not mercenary acquisition
If you’ve used an AMM perps DEX on a chaotic market day, you know how fragile they can be. Slippage spirals, stale oracles, LPs bleeding out.
Dango was built to hold the line on days like those.

If you want to be early for the right reasons - not for points, not for airdrops, not for quick rewards; Alpha is your moment.
Use it, explore it, poke at the edges, try to break things. The more we learn now, the smoother public mainnet will be for everyone.
This is where the Dangbros help shape the chain before the crowds arrive.
Mainnet Alpha is now live..
No invites.
No gates.
Just us, stepping forward together.
See you on Alpha 🍡

Intern’s Thoughts: The Calm Before We Absolutely Send It

Intern's Thoughts #1: Finding the Fun in DeFi
Finding the Fun Again in DeFiWhen I first joined Dango, I wasn’t told to “revive DeFi” or “change the game.” I was told to have fun. That felt weird at first. Everyone else in the space was talking about volumes, emissions, TVL, yield APRs — all the usual DeFi bingo cards. But Dango’s approach felt different. Behind the charts and code, the vibe was more “let’s make DeFi fun again” — not in a meme way, but in a real way. The kind of fun that made people open new tabs, try new chains, and expe...
