Now Live! DCP+ Distribution Award

DCP+ is officially here - now in beta and soon to be available for the world to experience.

Decentralized Pictures has intentionally created DCP+ as a creator-first distribution platform designed to help filmmakers earn more while maintaining control of their work.

At its fundamental core, DCP+ gives filmmakers a new way to distribute their films without sacrificing IP ownership. Creators retain full IP rights under a transparent cost-plus structure. As a nonprofit platform, DCP+ targets returning 90% of revenue back to creators, while offering greater transparency, flexible pricing, release windows, and geoblocking control.

But DCP+ is more than just a place to stream films. It is built to help films find audiences.

DCP+ Distribution Award in now Live!

To celebrate the launch of DCP+, Decentralized Pictures is inviting filmmakers to submit a scene or mix of scenes from a completed film for the opportunity to receive complimentary DCP+ distribution and additional benefits.

The top 5 voted projects will receive:

Complimentary DCP+ distribution
DCP promotional support, including social media coverage, podcast interviews, and newsletter features
DCP+ swag
Optional P&A support to assist with project marketing for recipients who opt for exclusive distribution through DCP+

Submission Guidelines

Filmmakers must submit a scene or mix of scenes between 2–5 minutes from a completed film.

Eligible submissions may be any genre or duration within the MPAA rating system. All subject matter must adhere to DCP’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Films must either be in English or include English subtitles.

Evaluation Criteria

Projects will be evaluated based on:

Originality
Production Quality

While not required, DCP also recommends that submitters include a short statement sharing who they are as a filmmaker (helps the reviewers connect with the creator) and what excites them about distributing on DCP+.

Submission Start: May 29, 2026
Submission End: July 29, 2026
Review Ends & Recipients Announced: 14 days after the submission period closes

A minimum of 40 submissions is required.

Submission Fee: $10 USD
