The Sofia Coppola Short Film Award submission period has officially closed following an incredible response from creators around the world.
We are grateful to every filmmaker who submitted a project, shared their talent, and helped make this award such a tremendous success. The enthusiasm and creative energy surrounding this opportunity continues to be inspiring, and we’re excited to move into the next phase of the process.
With submissions now closed, the award will continue to accept community reviews. Reviewers will evaluate submitted projects based on unique voice, visual quality, originality and help determine which projects advance as finalists. From there, the DCP Board and Sofia Coppola will select from the finalists to determine the award recipient.
The selected recipient will receive an award package designed to help bring their short film to life, including:
$20,000 to produce a short film
Mentorship support
Marketing and P&A support
Distribution of the completed film on DCP+
Community review ends: 14 days after submissions close
Recipient announced: Approximately 14 days after community review ends (dates subject to change)
