Determined, Najid reached out to over 100 Web3 communities seeking sponsorship but met with little success. Undeterred, he posted a heartfelt message in a developer Telegram group, expressing his eagerness to contribute to the hackathon.
Our co-founder Yudi, came across Najid's plea. Moved by his persistence and passion, Yudi arranged a call with him. During their conversation, Najid's unwavering commitment to his goals shone through. Inspired by his spirit, we decided to sponsor his trip to Singapore.
In Singapore, Najid not only became the most active developer won 0.1 ETH, he also teamed up with other developers to create something astonishing. Together, they created a marketplace with advanced new verifiable proof technology. Their innovative approach and dedication led them to secure a $100,000 grant from Mina Protocol to continue developing their app.
From a young developer struggling to fund his trip to becoming a grant recipient poised to make significant impacts in the Web3 space, Najid's story is a testament to what's possible when talent meets opportunity.
Najid's journey reminds us of a story shared by Steve Jobs. As a young enthusiast, 12-year old Jobs once cold-called Hewlett-Packard (HP) Co-founder Bill Hewlett and asked for some spare parts to build a frequency counter. After a 20-minute telephone call, Hewlett agreed to give Jobs the spare parts and also offered him an internship.
