Our goal is to encourage original content on Drakula, and to experiment with ways to make a living off their passion ā entirely onchain.
Drakula's Onchain Creator Fund is designed to celebrate and support the incredible work of short-form video creators like you. We recognize your dedication, creativity, and passion for making engaging content, and we want to reward you for doing what you do best ā creating amazing videos on Drakula.app. This fund is our way of showing appreciation for your hard work and commitment to entertaining and inspiring your audience in the decentralized, creator-centric ecosystem we're building together.
And unlike TikTok, here, our fund currency is $DEGEN ā a community-driven currency you'll play a role in shaping. We will pay creators every week, starting next week!
Pay creators for original content. Drakula's mission is to bring 1 billion people onchain via social media, which is not an easy task. The only way for the onchain world to compete with social media giants is by paying fairly.
Drakula.app pays, in fact. We have been making waves in the Farcaster ecosystem for this: in only 12 days since launch, Drakula Creator Tokens have organically paid out over $575,000 to social media creators (creators earn a 5% fee paid out each trade).
We want to work with creators to experiment with novel onchain mechanisms and see which one could be the most sustainable. For us to win, we shouldn't be a casino forever ā we want to facilitate long-lasting relationships between creators and their communities.
Any Drakula.app short-form video creator serious enough to consider their content creation job at least a "part-time activity". This is loosely defined to include any category from video-makers, artists, technologists, musicians, comedians, and more!
People who are at least "crypto-curious", meaning they are willing to learn and engage with novel tools like Drakula Creator Tokens, Zora media, Farcaster, Fabric Hypersub and more.
The basic criteria are:
You must have a Drakula.app profile.
You must post at least 3 original videos per week.
The videos must be auto-posted on Farcaster.
You must have at least 3 unique collectors on Drakula.
These serve as rough guidelines ā every week, the final selection will be made by our Onchain Creator Fund committee (to be announced soon), who will have complete autonomy in the curation process.

To be eligible for the first week's rewards, make sure to meet the criteria by Friday, March 29! The Onchain Creator Fund committee will announce the recipients of the weekly grants every Wednesday, beginning April 3rd.
Starting from Wednesday, April 3, our Onchain Creator Fund committee (TBA) will select and reward the top creators of the week on a weekly basis, at their own discretion.
Each creator will earn up to $1,000 in DEGEN per week. There are no limits in how many times a creator can be selected successively.
We will also grant DEGEN bonuses for outstanding original content.
While the fund currently consists solely of DEGEN, Drakula is open to the possibility of incorporating other community-driven tokens in the future. We want to commit to adapting and evolving our fund to best serve its community.
The introduction of this creator fund marks a significant milestone for the broader short-form video industry. We want to set a new standard for how platforms can empower and incentivize their users.
