I'd much rather be making art and sharing it wit you, but y'know. Hackers be scamming my connections.
So I've been trying to minimize the damage to just my X accounts. I'm exhausted, but still have a little more to do to put more protections in place outside of X to ensure better OpSec.
As I shared yesterday, I was able to regain access to @SecondRealm. That account still remains an archive. I will not post publicly from it. And I've reached out to everyone the hacker DMed to let them know of the hack. It was a nice sigh of relief to get it back.
But the fight's not over.
For followers of @EPRdotArt on X, I recommend you report them and unfollow them.
If you've been contacted via DM about a podcast or asked to share credit card information, please report them as Spam.
If you've not been contacted by them yet, I recommend that you unofllow them and report them as impersonation of my locked personal account @ericprhodes.
Since I'm unable to regain access to @EPRdotArt, I'm reporting it as impersonation of my family-focused account @ericprhodes as well. Hopefully with you reporting it and me reporting it, this will at least trigger getting the account banned.
Unfortunately, I had to KYC with a gov't ID to make this happen. But if it prevents hackers from scamming people because of my mistake, it's work it.
Please do not ask to follow @ericprhodes, it's not a public account.
That said, at some point I'll return to X.
