On 24 April, the Second National Reading Congress organized the Forum on Reading and Urban Development. The Forum was guided by the theme “Towards a more civilized city” and explored the intrinsic relationship with urban civilization.

Representatives of the cities of Hangzhou, Gao, Carmen, Yengun, Jilin and Jordos share their experiences in reading how to integrate into urban life, become urban genomes and promote urban civilization.

Informational space representatives on urban public libraries, urban bookshops, private bookshops, etc. had an exchange of views on how to use reading space to promote popular reading, urban civilization, and how to better promote urban space construction.

When read as a custom, a city is swept into the garage, and a city that is immersed will become more civilized.

Three cities and reading stories were shared at the Forum:

As the first historic city of the country, the culture of the State is deeply rooted, and the City Council and the municipal government have always made the transmission of the traditional culture of excellence the subject of popular reading in the new era. According to statistics, over the past year, a total of 360,000 cultural reading events were conducted throughout the city, with 12 million participations.
