With less than four months to go until our hackathon & conference, we couldn’t be more excited about what’s coming. We’ve announced our first speakers and sponsors, kicked off the Road to ETHPrague side-event series, and in this newsletter we’re bringing you a full recap.
With the first batch of speakers announced, you can already get a glimpse of what’s going down from May 8–10 at the beautiful venue of Prague’s Municipal House.
Let’s start with our very OWN Josef Jelacic, who will, as usual, take care of hosting the event and interviewing speakers.
While we’ll of course dive deep into DeFi and core Ethereum tech, the Ethereum ecosystem goes far beyond code. It overlaps with lifestyle, city development, philosophy, governance, and many other aspects of our lives. That’s why we’re broadening the scope of our talks this year, touching even on topics like Buddhism and AI governance.
Here’s the first announced speaker lineup:
Ondrej Kovařík - Former Member of the European Parliament
Patrik Novy - KB SmartSolutions
Zaki Manian - iqlusion
Cheeky Gorilla - Protocol Guilt
Sascha Götz - Rootstock collective
Lukáš Benzl - Czech Association for Artificial Intelligence
Alexander Trauth-Goik - Independent Researcher
Jan Gorzny - Zircuit
Giulio Corsi - University of Cambridge
Tereza Stašková - Prague’s Institute of Planning and Development
Hugo Mathecowitsch - Tools for the Commons

Meet Ackee Blockchain Security and SpaceComputer!
Ackee is trusted by top-tier organizations across Web3, strengthening the blockchain ecosystem through security services, tooling, and education.
On the other hand, Space-Based High-Security Computing is synonymous with SpaceComputer, and we can’t wait to show you what it means to have partners like these by our side.

Last week, we kicked off the Road to ETHPrague meetup series. This time, we gathered at Zvon, a hidden gem in the heart of Prague, and a place you should definitely check out when you visit in May.
The evening started with Josef J., who introduced us to Bordel.
What’s Bordel? Glad you asked. Bordel is a small hackerspace many of you may remember from its former location in the basement of Paralelní Polis. It’s currently looking for a new home, and you can get involved! More information on Bordel and how to help can be found here.
Josef then continued with a deep dive into his exciting DeFi mortgage project, definitely one to keep an eye on.

Next, Alex from our team interviewed Jan Štětina from Trezor, which quickly turned into a lively discussion driven by questions from the audience. Thank you all for that!

Are you familiar with Decentralized Science? You don’t fully grasp the challenges of modern science until Ivo Betke takes the stage. Fingers crossed his DeSci vision truly takes off, because a revolution in how we handle research data would benefit us all 🧪

Simply put, this year’s very first Road to ETHPrague meetup was a vibe, and there’s more to come! Arti from Nullshot invited us all to the upcoming Vibe Coding Weekends
To wrap things up, we held a raffle, and many attendees went home with prizes in their pockets. Special thanks to our friends from POAP for making it happen!
The venue was fully packed, and we can’t thank you enough for showing up
As a reward for reading all the way to the end, you’re among the first to know:
registrations are now open for the next Road to ETHPrague stop, happening on February 19. Join on LUMA.
