First of all, I am looking for a job, that sucks because you just get continuously humbled and you face 100s of rejections. This kind of things happen when you search for a job or a partner at a bar.
So, if you are reading this, probably you are looking for a job too and my all wishes go to you, dear, patient reader.
Today is Sunday 12th of April, and saw this post from @shafu:

Ok, I though, this guy is "trusty" there are less chances it is another of those almost scam - farming - hiring post.
They post something like WE ARE HIRING, and you send your CV with all your data, and they do nothing but they have a bigger hiring pool. Honestly I never got the sense of this. Dear patient reader, please comment if you are a hiring manager and explain this!
Shafu is building agentcash.dev, a platform AI agents can use to use 300+ premium APIs by paying using x402 payment standard.
As an AI agent builder, this is extremely crucial for my agents like Fabietto. It allows to build agents that are independent from a single service and be auto-sustainable.
Agents call platforms like agentcash with a specific request -> agentcash return a 402 error -> requiring agent pay -> agentcash returns a response with the requested data.
I said ok, let's get in touch, He probably will get so many messages, he won't even see mine. Should I share the messages?? yes, at the end it's a cool way to get feedback and no crucial informations were shared.
Dear reader, if you read this and see something I did wrong, or right, or have any advice, please comment!

Ok now things got spiced up!!
What did I do?
Went to agentcash.dev
read docs: https://agentcash.dev/docs/introduction
Got lazy. Docs nowadays are worst than ever. But we have AI to read docs.
Got this link for agents: https://agentcash.dev/docs/introduction. as Fabietto (my agent), is asleep now as he's undergoing some improvements, I went over to cursor and made him read this: https://agentcash.dev/skill.md and explain.
I gave cursor the message from shafu and told him we need to find out the way to apply.
He told me to start by onboarding with npx agentcash@latest onboard, then the result message asked me to go the onboard page.
I had to link my github, my X and my Linkedin (dear patient reader, do you think it's too much to ask? please comment and let me know!).
Then, agentcash agent started investigating on my socials: he started with my github profile, listing how many repos I have, how long my account is live, the kind of projects, repo and contribution I had. Then Passed over X, and checked my posts and connection, scooping a connection with 50k+ followers, that was well valued by the agent. At the end, he checked my Linkedin, profiles, activities and posts.
Final Score: 472 and $12 of rewards to use on agentcash.dev

ok, now what?
went back on cursor, and asked, "is there a way to send email?": long story short, there is an endpoint to discover services npx agentcash discover https://stableenrich.dev. I used that and eventually I got it: npx agentcash@latest discover https://stableemail.dev
{
"found": true,
"origin": "https://stableemail.dev",
"source": "openapi",
"info": {
"title": "StableEmail",
"description": "Pay-per-send email delivery. No API keys, no accounts.",
"version": "0.1.0"
},
"endpoints": [...]
}I think I found it. I Will use this service and the balance I got from the onboarding process to send my application.
To send the email, my agent has to call:
npx agentcash@latest fetch "https://stableemail.dev/api/send" -m POST -b '{
"to":["shafu@email.com"],
"subject":"Application โ Fabrizio G.",
"text":"email content",
"replyTo":"my@mail.com"
}'Cool. I handwrite the application letter, I'll not share boring stuff but I'll share something I enjoyed writing, 10 reasons to hire me (dear patient reader, if you are and hiring manager, read carefully!)

What do you think? I want my application to feel natural, approachable and easy going. If the environment you're hiring for is not sharing my same values, well, I prefer not to join! And, in this specific case, the job application I'm sending is not a classical one, and the position I'm applying for is not even defined.
I also provided reasons not to hire me:

6 reasons. Better to give more reasons to hire me than not to do so ๐.
Ok, at the end cursor called the endpoint to send the email https://stableemail.dev/api/send I paid $0.02 and boom. I have a new possibility in my career.
Ok, that was the factual story. I saw a post on X, baptipized it trustworthy, sent a DM, then figured out how to apply, asked my agent to apply, paid $0.02, applied.
This whole process took me less than an hour from seeing the post to hitting send. No tailoring a generic resume for the nth time. No awkward "please find attached" email. Just me, my agent, a tiny micropayment, and a bit of creativity.
Dear Patient reader, now it's time to let it sink in for a second and reason about it a lil bit.
What are the implications of sending a micropayment to apply for a job positions?
people with $0 in their wallet can't pay. But to be fair, agentcash.dev provided me with $12 to actually send the application.
The fact that you need to pay to send an application email actually disincentivize fake applications that flood email inboxes. With $0.02 for application, you need $1 to send 50 applications.
With this mechanism, recruiting companies can actually monetize their hiring pool. Good, we like it! Recruiters' inboxes could actually become readable again.
With this mechanism, bad actors can earn money by selling the perfect job position and never hire. We'll need reputation systems and community signals, shooting out EF AI team for building an agents reputation layer on Ethereum
Who send the application with a micropayment, is incentivized to apply only if he feel like he's a good fit. No more "spray-and-pray" applications. Applying now costs real money, baby.
Most importantly: When applying actually costs something small, you're forced to be intentional. You only apply when you genuinely believe you're a good fit. That changes the entire dynamic from desperation to mutual value exchange.
Are use cases like the one of agentcash.dev valid?
Hell yeah. As someone building agent, I rekon the need of a way for agents to pay for their own service and to actually not be dependent on just one provider. No more API keys, no more "my agent only works with OpenAI/Anthropic/Groq." Just one balance, and the agent figures out how to discover, pay, and use whatever service it needs.
I think who's building these platforms is still so early. Holding on will bring results.
I have no idea if I'll get the job. Statistically, it's very hard. Just to share a piece of stat from my recent job hunting history: only 3% of my total applications sent got at least an interview. But I love that I could apply in a way that felt authentic to me and aligned with the kind of future I'm excited to build.
Dear patient reader, if you kept reading till here, it means you liked my post. Thank you very much, a comment is the best way to support me. but also if you don't comment, I would still love you.
