Among the winning logo works, the graphics are from the star shaped daylighting roof of Hangzhou West Railway Station building, which has been highly praised by the evaluation experts.

This logo conveys the concept of energy conservation and environmental protection. The whole is the Pinyin initial “X” of Chinese “West”, and the lower three arrows form the initial “W” of English “West” (meaning West), which represents the west railway station. Three negative curves are hidden in the English abbreviation “IWS” of the west railway station.

This sign, such as “cross coordinate”, symbolizes the intersection space of interconnected central links and urban life, conveys the public service mission with “travel, work and life” as the core, and highlights the function of the “hub” center of Hangzhou West Railway Station.

By August, the Hu hang section of the Hefei Hangzhou high-speed railway will be ready for operation. As a major station on the high-speed railway, Hangzhou West Railway Station is also expected to open to welcome passengers.

Hangzhou West Railway Station is a super large comprehensive transportation hub integrating high-speed railway, subway, urban comprehensive development, urban supporting projects and other projects. The scale of railway platform is 11 platforms and 20 track lines.

There are 9 floors in the station building, 3 and 2 floors underground, and part of the first floor underground is the subway station, and the first floor above the ground is the urban corridor. Its main functions are the national railway exit hall, urban corridor, cloud Valley, bus, long-distance, taxi and private car parking lot.

Citizens who come to the west station by subway, bus and other means of transportation can take the central escalator to directly enter the elevated waiting room after getting off, which greatly reduces the entry time and walking distance.

The total length of the steel structure of the station roof is 326m and the width is 245m. The lighting roof area in the middle of the main structure of the roof adopts orthogonal two-way plane truss, with a maximum span of 78m, a projected area of about 79870 square meters and a total weight of about 11000 tons.

The steel structure of the station house cover adopts the mode of “zoning rotation + overall lifting”. The lifting area is divided into three times. First, rotate the south area, and then rotate the middle area and north area. After the lifting is in place, install the embedded rods between the roofs of each area.

The interior of the station building is under decoration construction, and all construction contents are expected to be completed by the end of June.

The Cloud Gate on the south side of the west station building has also been officially capped and curtain wall construction is under way.

Yunmen is a landmark building of Hangzhou Yuncheng, connecting the west railway station building and the surrounding high-rise office, podium, commerce, leisure and other comprehensive development projects. After completion, it is convenient for passengers to “transfer seamlessly” and enjoy one-stop services such as catering and shopping.
