The real leverage isn't just using AI. It's meticulously training your models. Not just feeding them your project's core data or your artistic portfolio, but sculpting their "vibe" and response patterns to genuinely align with your community's ethos or your distinct creative signature. That’s how you build beyond generic outputs, achieving something with soul, deeply tied to your purpose.
The true unlock with AI, the real magic, is in architecting the prompts, fine-tuning the models, and curating the datasets. This is how you forge a truly unique relationship or an inimitable artistic style that genuinely stands out. Also, this is a funny life lesson in how worthwhile it is to take the time to train your AI models, not only with data information you want them to have and be expert in but also and how you want them to respond to you to make your interactions feel more authentic, and be most closely related to your purpose.
One of the ways that I love to work with AI is in a way that is very much like working with a team of people. I imagine myself in the conference room wearing stilettos 👠 and an amazing suit surrounded by my listening note-taking creative team as I am speaking aloud sharing my ideas for the show in as much detail as possible. And at the end of that, the AI, having listened to everything I have said - already having been primed with instructions, gets to work re-organizing and rephrasing what I’ve said into a concise format outlined in a previous conversation, for my purpose.
I do this every day with various trained models that I have expressly instructed for their unique purpose, but this morning I diverted from my habit with surprising results.
So, lemme fill you in on the context: I have a new podcast I’ll be introducing this week; this morning, I’m writing the description - a task so important that I used to spend entirely too long on it, and it’s a part of the creative process that I collaborate on with (usually a very specifically trained model) AI.
But in my haste today, I asked a still-in-training model to write a description with me and got the most hilarious result. The only saving grace for the AI is that I had not played her any of my music so I know what she said was just cap. That said, our exchange was too funny not to share.
“cap” in this context means: AI hallucinations, lies.
Keep your foot on mf necks 👠 - even at home, my villains: never tolerate AI or human disrespect, however subtle. Call it out!
