One week ago we launched the MVP of GIVE.party, a new feature built on Farcaster by Coordinape where users can host events (called "GIVE parties") to collectively endorse skills of others.
Since then, Farcaster users have sent more than 41,000 GIVE.
Last Friday, over 8% of FC DAU sent at least one GIVE.
So far, the average giver has sent GIVE 6.5 times.
We’ve seen multiple spikes over 60 GIVE per minute.
Shipping minimum viable products is a great way to learn and iterate quickly. The “minimum” part is important, and means tradeoffs happen and you learn as you go.
GIVE.party has some things missing (like inframe autocomplete of farcaster handles, or custom text) that we couldn’t do at MVP but know need a more elegant solution.
It also had some things we learned about once you fine people started using it (like character limits and weird handling of .eth usernames) that we fixed on the fly.
We’ve found the “build in public” spirit on Farcaster to be strong and welcoming, and endeavor to keep learning and shipping.

When you send and receive GIVE, you build reputation that lives on the superchain. Today this looks like a simple score, a reflection of your activity synched to your CoSoul NFT. A granular look at your GIVE activity and skills lives on your CoLinks profile. We’ve got some based ideas for making this much simpler and taking the reputation network onchain, where it can become interoperable and collectively owned.

Thousands of people received their first GIVE ever this week through Farcaster, which is awesome. Others have been in the GIVE game for years through using Coordinape Gift Circles.
The vision is to tie all of our products together such that users can interact with the ones that best suit their needs, and easily leverage the portable onchain reputation they've established for social networking and professional growth, targeted incentives or whatever else you can imagine being down with data rich trust and skill scoring on the Superchain. We’d like to show you a map of GIVE.parties as they happen, for example. Suffice to say we've got ideas on the roads to lead us there, but we also know the best way to build will be with collaboration from users, and from other builders.
