In between two episodes this past week, Adrienne officially launched Word-a-Day; a mini app that teaches you one word each day which ended up as #1 on the mini app leaderboard in less than 24 hours! Accept the challenge and use that word in a cast to get on the leaderboard! Meanwhile, Prof was inspired by a cast to launch /fcComics, a channel to share Farcaster inspired comics and the home of the future Sunday Comics coming next week. The Clankers, a daily comic strip inspired by casts, shares the adventures of an exasperated desk human battling the absurdities of tech while a tiny, serene robot delivers logic, meta commentary, and the occasional emotional mic drop. More artists and creators to join soon. Follow /fccomics on Farcaster for all the fun!
Adrienne also shipped some improvements to our website. All 300+ episode transcripts are now crawlable so search engines and AIs will be able to access the content. The transcripts were previously being rendered client side via javascript so most search engines and AIs would not be able to access them. Now page gets built server side (and cached) so the full transcript is included in the HTML that the crawlers have access to. Hope this brings us more organic traffic via search & LLMs.
