Ahoy, Tycoons.
Guilds arrived with v1.2.0. Here is how a season works, from chartering in to the tenth of next month.
A guild belongs to a harbor. Four are open: Pharos and Delta at Alexandria, Bastion and Saltwind at Valletta. These four were set up by our team for the beta season, and what comes out of it decides how guilds open properly later.
The tie to the home port is what the season runs on. The voyages that count for a guild are the ones its members land there. Land anywhere else and the voyage is still yours, it just does not reach the board.
Founding your own guild comes later. So does opening the other eleven harbors.
Pay the charter fee at the port and you are a member for the rest of the season. One Tycoon, one guild.
Leaving costs three things.
The charter fee does not come back.
You give up your share of that season's rewards.
You cannot join any guild again until the next season opens.
Voyages you already landed stay on the guild's board and keep counting toward its rank. You are not in the split.
Four things feed a guild's season points, and the guild page breaks all four out rather than showing one total.
Voyages landed. The base. One voyage settled at the home port, one count.
Cargo weight. Trade volume is scored as a weight on each voyage. Trade Premium is left out of the reading: premium differs from port to port, and counting it would hand an advantage to whichever harbor pays the most. Only the base volume is measured, and the weight moves inside a fixed band either side.
Boost. Any member can buy one. The next set of voyages the guild lands count 1.5x, and it applies to every member rather than the buyer alone. One boost runs at a time: once it is spent the next can be bought. Whoever sent one is named on the guild page for the rest of the season.
Harbor traffic. Voyages that other Tycoons land at your home port add points on top, capped in proportion to what your own members sail.
Globally, against every guild rather than the one across the harbor.
At season close the top three take 50%, 30% and 20% of the pool. Fourth and below take nothing.
By standing inside the guild, in bands.
1st in the guild: 20%
Top 10%: 27%
Top 30%: 30%
Top 60%: 15%
Everyone else: 8%
Inside a band the split is even. Two Tycoons in the same band receive the same amount, whether one of them sailed twice as much as the other. Sailing more raises your share when it moves you into a different band.
The port due, the new harbor charge that arrived with the same update. A share of everything it collects, across all thirteen harbors and not only the two with guilds, goes into one pool for the season.
The pool is not funded by your own harbor. It is one pot, and the ranking decides how it splits. There is a separate deep dive on the due itself.
August runs as a beta season. Everything scores and the pool fills from day one.
The season closes 2026-08-31 23:59 UTC.
September 1 to 9 is the close. Standings freeze, amounts are fixed, and the proof of who receives what is published.
Claims open 9/10 and stay open five days.
Anything unclaimed on the 15th returns to the treasury.
Five days is a short window and a missed one is a real loss. That is why the dates are here now rather than in September.
Open a guild harbor, charter in, and land a voyage there. One payment and one voyage puts you on the board.
Four guilds, thirteen harbors, one pool between them. Pick a banner worth sailing under, and go take a harbor.
