Hi everyone, today I am very excited to share with about Omniverse
WHAT IS OMNIVERSE? Omniverse is an ecosystem of community-driven worlds, games, and dApps all connected by a seamless interoperable experience via LayerZero protocol. The Omniverse is the first true metaverse, a universe where virtual worlds, users, and protocols deployed on multiple chains are able to freely communicate and exchange value with each other in a frictionless manner. No longer will data or communities be partitioned and siloed to individual networks.
PRODUCTS.
Within the Omniverse, the team is developing a spectrum of innovative products to enable our vision of the true metaverse. These flagship projects serve as a proof-of-concept of the LayerZero cross-chain messaging standard. They will also be the primary means to onboard new users into the Omniverse:
i) Omni Wars™. A groundbreaking compete-to-earn (C2E) omnichain strategy game. Players choose one of four factions that they want to join based on the chain of their preference (Arbitrum/Avalanche/BNB/Polygon), develop their citadels and cities, train and upgrade armies and compete for multiple rewards in an immersive fully 3D rendered setting. The game combines elements of city-building, RTS and RPG genres delivering a riveting blockchain-powered experience.
ii) Omni X. A suite of smart contract implementations and interfaces that serve to enable omnichain DAOs, NFT marketplaces and GameFi projects. Omni X will include omnichain tools such as: gnosis safe multi-sig, gaming NFT marketplace framework, governance platform, omnichain ERC-20, ERC-721 and ERC-1155 token standards for omnichain companies and communities. We expect other projects to adopt the omnichain infrastructure once they see how powerful the sourcing of both financial and social capital from multiple chains is, and join the Omniverse by licensing one or more smart contracts that are included in the Omni X package.
iii) Omni Journey. A beginner-friendly and free-to-play adventure game that guides the player through the very basics of the blockchain technology. Players will learn initial interactions from installing an Ethereum-compatible wallet to more advanced concepts such as supplying liquidity to DeFi protocols and releasing NFT collections. Since the team particularly wants to target gamers and help them join the crypto space and the Omniverse, they aim to develop a version of the game that will not require any NFTs to start and will track the player’s progress through an external API. This will allow for Omni Journey to be published in familiar outlets for the gaming community such as Steam and Epic Games Store in order to learn about web3 in a fun and engaging fashion.
GOVERNANCE STRUCTURE
Omniverse DAO operates under a Hybrid DAO model. By combining the power of a core team of builders and a decentralized community of creators and players we get the best of both worlds: fast and professional execution along with community-driven ecosystem and products. All products and revenues developed within the Omniverse are governed through a single omnichain token $OMNI. Through our innovative omnichain DAO governance tooling and omnichain $OMNI governance token, we ensure that participants from all networks are able to contribute to the future of the Omniverse. Initially, we plan to outsource product development governance to the community while retaining authority over the core game engine, mechanics, and backend. For instance, the community will be able to vote on what happens in the Omni Wars world after the first season, what artists we should hire next to work on the aesthetics of the game and what factions (Optimism and Fantom are the main candidates) should be introduced to the game next. Major contributors to the DAO as well as the winning alliance in each season of the Omni Wars will get rewarded $OMNI tokens to ensure that their input and commitment to the Omniverse directly translates into the decision-making power. The DAO treasury management will be first executed by the core team but as the community matures we expect to see the rise of a community-chosen counsel that will later join us in this endeavour.
