What is CertiKad, in one sentence? CertiKad is a decentralized protocol that lets you own your complete, verifiable professional history—combining official credentials and real-world work—on-chain, as a secure digital asset.
How is CertiKad different from LinkedIn or other credential platforms? LinkedIn is a social network and resume host, but it’s not a source of truth—anyone can claim anything, and credentials are siloed. CertiKad is a universal aggregator: it unifies official, institutional credentials (like degrees or certifications) with practical, project-based work (like freelance gigs or open-source contributions), all cryptographically verified and owned by you, not a platform.
Why does professional merit need to be on-chain? On-chain records are tamper-proof, portable, and censorship-resistant. This means your career history can’t be altered, lost, or taken away—no matter where you go, or what happens to any single company or platform.
How does CertiKad work with institutions (universities, certifiers, employers)? CertiKad is designed to be open and interoperable. Institutions can issue credentials directly to users’ wallets, using open standards. We’re building easy onboarding tools and incentives for institutions, and we’re actively seeking design partners—if you represent an institution, get in touch.
What about freelance and project-based work? CertiKad uniquely supports project-based attestations. Freelance platforms, DAOs, and even individual clients can issue verifiable attestations for completed work, which are aggregated alongside formal credentials. This creates a 360-degree view of your professional merit.
How does CertiKad handle privacy? You control what’s public and what’s private. Credentials are stored on-chain, but you decide which are visible. We’re committed to privacy-by-design and are exploring zero-knowledge proofs for selective disclosure.
How will CertiKad attract institutions and users? We’re focused on network effects: by aggregating both institutional and project-based credentials, CertiKad becomes more valuable as more participants join. Our go-to-market strategy includes partnerships, open-source tooling, and incentives for early adopters.
What is the KAD token for? KAD is the native utility token for the CertiKad protocol. It’s used for governance, staking, and as an incentive for credential issuers and verifiers. More details are in our Litepaper.
How can I get involved? Join our Discord, follow us on X, or reach out directly if you’re an institution, developer, or just passionate about the future of work.
What’s next for CertiKad? We’re in the public evangelism phase—building community, refining the protocol, and seeking a technical co-founder. Follow our journey and help shape the future of verifiable merit.
