Vibe Coding Is the New Posting. Is Farcaster the next Instagram?
When the smart phone came out 2 decades ago, it gave everyone a super computer and camera in their pockets.
This democratized content creation - you no longer needed expensive equipment to post on the internet.
The internet flooded with content. Posts, tweets, stories, reels: all optimized for dopamine and distribution.
This coupled with feeds and social graphs allowed for new friend graphs to emerge, new memes to form, and new communities to be minted.
But in 2025, we've saturated traditional content and the attention game of gaming likes and followers for distribution.
In 2025, with the rise of AI agents, memecoins, and vibe coding I think the fundamental definition of attention and content are changing in real time.
Vibe coding is the new content and coins are the new ways communities, trends, and attention are rewarded.
That’s the early shift happening on Farcaster. Mini apps (rebranded from Frames) turn the feed into a programmable canvas. People aren’t just sharing opinions, they’re forking experiments, launching tokens, remixing interactions.
It’s not traditional content of text, images, or videos. It’s software. Not virality. Velocity.
Vibe coding is fast, expressive, and half-baked on purpose. You don’t need a roadmap, just a vibe and an idea. Yes this creates slop and people are complaining about it, but feels eerily similar to how traditional filmmakers, songmakers, and photographers complained about the slop regular people were creating with their phones.
Yes this created slop, but fundamentally allowed creativity and attention to be democratized creating a new class of creators, and from my opinion was a net positive in the world.
On Farcaster this is happening starting with devs, and now with ai agents - anyone with an idea:
Instead of polishing a launch, you drop a frame. Instead of posting a tweet, you build a tool. Instead of begging for engagement, you create something people can remix.
It’s internet culture with a compiler.
Likes don’t mean much anymore.
Coins, on the other hand, have weight. They represent belief, speculation, skin in the game.
Buying is the new liking. Holding is the new following.
On Farcaster, attention isn’t measured in impressions, it’s measured in flows. You buy into someone’s idea, hold their coin, watch it grow (or crash). You back a creator, a moment, a meme, with capital, not clicks.

This is what’s interesting right now. Not new feeds. Not new formats. New primitives: programmable, ownable, remixable, that make the internet feel creative again.
