Ensure oil and gas supply, “double Olympic enterprises” to ensure “double Olympic cities”

The Beijing Winter Olympics is a great event for the country. As the only “double Olympics” city in the history of the Olympic Games, Beijing has gathered the attention of the world and carried the expectations of the Chinese people.

In order to ensure the energy supply of the Beijing Winter Olympics, PetroChina has selected 16 gas stations in Beijing and Hebei as the special supply stations for the Winter Olympics, and has also specially built 5 skid mounted gas stations in high-altitude areas to ensure the oil supply in extremely cold environment. As of December 29, PetroChina has guaranteed oil supply for the construction of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games for 777 days. From the construction of the Winter Olympic stadium to the “meet Beijing” series of test competitions, oil products are continuously provided, and 1.2 million liters of oil products are expected to be supplied during the Winter Olympic Games.

In winter, the lowest temperature in xiaohaituo mountain can reach minus 38 degrees Celsius. Refueller Yin Ruixing was numb with cold hands and feet, but he still stuck to his post in high spirits. He said, “to serve the Winter Olympics, oil people are not afraid of hardship and fatigue. They are always ready!”

China’s oil and gas production accounts for about 70% of the total domestic production. The supply scope radiates 30 provinces, autonomous regions and cities and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, benefiting about 500 million people.

As the largest oil and gas field in China, Changqing Oilfield undertakes the important task of providing natural gas guarantee for the Winter Olympic Village and related hotels in the three competition areas of Beijing Winter Olympic Games. In order to save enough “bottom gas”, Changqing Oilfield accelerated the increase of production and added power to the Winter Olympic Games. On December 17, the annual oil and gas output equivalent exceeded 60 million tons, including 44.67 billion cubic meters of natural gas.

Fulfill the commitment of “double carbon” and contribute to the “green winter Olympics”

During the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the natural gas produced by PetroChina ignited the main torch of the bird’s nest. 13 years later, at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, PetroChina will ensure the Winter Olympics with cleaner self-produced green hydrogen and help “run the Olympics Green” with the practice of green and low-carbon development.

On February 7 this year, the hydrogenation station in the service area of PetroChina Prince city officially added the “first shot” of hydrogen energy for the Winter Olympics and pressed the “accelerating key” for the development of hydrogen energy business. In the following months, a number of hydrogenation stations of PetroChina continued to be put into operation. During the Winter Olympics, four hydrogen refueling stations will provide services for 816 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles for the Winter Olympics, and shoulder the mission of transmitting the concept of “Green Olympics” and displaying the image of “green winter Olympics”.

In order to ensure the hydrogen quality of the Winter Olympics, Huabei Petrochemical compressed other long-term production plans to ensure that the hydrogen purification unit was put into operation. In only two months, a 500 standard m3 / h by-product hydrogen purification unit was completed and put into operation, and the purity of the produced hydrogen reached more than 99.999%. The second hydrogen purification project will also be put into operation in the near future.

Help “Green Olympics” and PetroChina accelerate oil upgrading.

In July this year, the Beijing municipal government issued a notice requiring all oil products sold in Beijing to meet the Beijing VIB index from December 1. It took more than 4 months to complete the task of oil upgrading, which is an unprecedented speed.

PetroChina made early deployment. Huabei Petrochemical, Dagang Petrochemical, Jinxi Petrochemical and Liaoyang Petrochemical accelerated the technical breakthrough of oil upgrading, and the first batch of Beijing VIB oil was produced in August. Beijing sales began to replace the oil products in the warehouse and station in July. By November 30, all PetroChina self operated gas stations, controlled and joint-stock gas stations and franchised stations in Beijing were upgraded to Beijing VIB gasoline and diesel.

Kunlun Olympic new energy engine oil is the highest standard in the world. Since 2018, Kunlun brand high-quality synthetic diesel engine oil and diesel engine exhaust purification fluid have been provided for the national alpine skiing center, and synthetic diesel engine oil and high-performance engine oil have been provided for snowmobiles and traffic vehicles in Yunding ski resort.
