To start off, let us touch on the little known phenomena called an Egregore. It can be defined as an energetic force that occurs when many human minds focus on a single intention, interpretation, outcome, or process. It is a particular thought-form created as a ‘third-mind’ through the collective focus.
Most religions, cults, governments, enterprises, and any high following all have this collective body of thought. Ceremonies, business meetings, connecting with old school friends, and family Sunday lunch are examples of this collective-mind power.
The Egregore is a thought entity created when two or more people think and speak towards a common objective, whether through meetings, mass prayer, meditation, or even genocide. The ability to acknowledge this ideology and realizing its potential is a revolutionary step in the conscious seeker.
Whole communities sometimes pray for rain. It is an extraordinary event where the entire village gathers to sing, dance, and call to the gods/heavens/spirits to bring the rain. The skies would cloud over, and a good downpour ensued. The village elder or Wiseman instigates this event. It is farther from a fairy tale than total truth. A church service is a gathering of Christians to collectively focus on, pray and give faith toward a higher entity, prophet or saint.
One instance is an ‘anti-war’ rally. Never, ever should it be marketed as an ‘anti-war’ campaign. The subconscious and superconscious minds cannot register negative connotations, such as can't, don't, not, nor, or anti. If we take an extreme example, a mother says to her child, "Don't touch the stove." In the child's mind, it only registers, "Touch the stove!" Instead, the mother should say, "Keep your hands away from the stove.” If we recognize and apply positive statements in home and work, we can and will get better results in self talk and social interaction.
Summary: the word ‘anti-racism’ does not register in our brains; all it registers is the word ‘racism,’ which is the exact thing we are trying to solve. So essentially, marching the streets in masses, protesting, "No more racism!" is portrayed to the Universe cloud storage as, "More racism!" The result is a muddled energy that will inevitably come to pass.
Obviously, we don't want to go to war, or have racism, or sexism, etc - instead, encourage pro-campaigns. It works, and history proves this. Why do we go to an anti-war rally if we want peace? A peace rally is more energy-driven and has a positive goal or outcome. An ‘anti’ rally of any kind usually turns into hysterical mayhem with everyone screaming and shouting, getting roused up, looting shops, and causing mass devastation in their wake, with riot police and tear-gas to bring order to the hordes. An egregore of chaos holds responsibility as to why so few of these rallies are ever successful.
Another example is a music concert without an audience - it is just another band practice – not affecting many people. No one is going to make it big at band practice. Thousands of people attending a sold-out music concert will be singing along to lyrics, with joyous emotions and energy surrounding the stadium. Consider any well-known song – that millions have heard; it would not have the same effect if a mere one hundred people heard it. The impact would be non-existent.
An egregore grows where minds gather. The possibilities of this knowledge is sacred and endless!
In the unfortunate truth, some egregores created, whether consciously or not, have an evil frame of reference. A good example would be the Nazi regime. This was immaculately carried out using propaganda. The German people were led to believe that Hitler's motives would improve the economy – and that was the reality for most during the early days of his reign. However, the truth behind it was to remove non-Aryan people from the nation, though this was never explicitly mentioned. Hitler was a Savior to the German people. He had millions upon millions of people shouting in admiration wherever he went. They had complete confidence that he was rebuilding Germany to its former glory before the first world war. after which Germany’s land and ego were cut down down and stained. In this instance, the Egregore created was a powerful one, backed by millions yet cloaked in deceit and personal vendettas that secured the regime.
Egregores are always created, fueled, and energized through constant attention by a group of people on any given topic. We can further state that egregore exist in every gathering with a collective mindset. This ‘third mind’ is the resultant power of human minds joining in unity and is absolute.
How powerful are we?!
