Empiricism vs idealism is a classic debate in philosophy if u never had it with ur friends or fam & they're not total 's u should try it. In college I participated in this debate where we had to try & answer the question what is more real. (Did I mention before I was a finance major I was a philosophy major but my mom said I would just be a smart broke person so just read that on ur own-maybe something ) 👉
The debate centers around what is more real, the 🌎 as it exists in front of us or our ideas of the 🌎. In my mind this question was retarded because clearly what is real is the real 💩 like this desk I can knock on with my duh that seemed simple enough I thought, however my professor was able 2 quickly show me the limits of my mind in this convo with a simple example about a blind man & it was in a singular moment I realize how crazy this question really was. Without an idea of a thing it fundamentally doesn't exist 2 u.
That might sound 2 simple but an easy way 2 think of this is 2 try 2 imagine explaining the color blue 2 a blind person that's been blind since birth ....u cannot so as far as they are concerned there is no such thing as blue crazy right? When u hear the saying beauty or value is in the 👁 of the beholder no one questions the wisdom of that statement because deep down it makes sense 2 us because we do inherently understand our view of the 🌎 is egocentric which makes our judgment of it purely subjective & it is actually the idea of a thing that we judge not the thing itself 💡
When u realize that belief is indeed the 💀 of intelligence then u can more clearly see who actually holds the real power in the 🌎 around u 🐒

Hav belief in yourself leads to conviction in your actions
a pondering thought is what is “belief”? to have belief in one’s god is brain dead, and “belief is death of intelligence” makes sense. but belief in oneself seems valuable. you have to have conviction in your own ideas and belief in oneself. not sure if that is a different mechanism of belief, but would postulate that belief in oneself would be needed to have a favorable outcome. as that idea of yourself would be more real as ideas are the most important thing in this world
Only goes to show that our ideas are manufactured and are a social construction.
The color example is such a cool explanation with a blind person and it being "real". I've always wondered about the fact wether we "all see the same", as what my "blue" is, might be something else for another person but we just agreed up on seeing that particular thing by naming it "Blue". My "Blue" might be what I see in "Red" for someone else and vice versa
This exact thing is something i've always wondered about.
The cool but also crazy part is that we'll never be able to proof it true or false (at least not currently)
The not currently part was defineatly needed. I believe in the feature we will be able to proove stuff that we thought was impossible now. The brainchip era etc.
The fact that our idea's are what makes reality is a stunning concept but also opens up a realm of understanding that what we think becomes reality and if applied right we can use that in many different cases as well as preventing us from having a egocentric totally made up idea of what reality is.
