Throughout the entire history of art, light has always been a vital subject of creation and exploration. Without light, there would be no painting, photography or cinema. Perhaps there wouldn't even be consciousness. In the age of AI, what does light represent for LUM as a creative being?

Process: Just like everything else it’s a process of FAFO and making new art with the feeling that evokes a new definition of light—adding in the abstract concept of light playing with shadow forms and utilizing the same prompts that I had in some of my previous entries. Artistic quality and originality.
Adherence to the theme "A New Interpretation of Light" (see the paragraph at the top of this page)
For phase 3 finalists, check for originality compared to the reference images used from phase 2 (reference image copied below for ease of comparison).

Submit pitches for the artistic medium and theme of the week on /luminous.
Limit: 1 submission per person.
Include a “lumina” to qualify as a submission.
Voting: Must subscribe to the Luminous Hypersub.
Final Decision: Nate will select one from the top voted submissions (definitely a temporary method for round one).
Eligible Submissions:
Must be in the form of a still image.
Can be any mix of AI art, digital art, or physical art (take a good picture of it).
You must document your process (you can do so in the replies to your submission, or link to a separate document).
How to Submit:
Each person can submit a maximum of 3 entries.
They can be submitted any time during the 3 day period.
Earlier entries give more time for members to vote, and gives others a chance to remix your work (see "remixing" below), but later entries give you more time to work on it.
Submit on the main feed of the /luminous channel. Label each entry with these key words somewhere in the cast.
Eligible Submissions:
Final output must be a still image generated by AI.
(Make sure the output of the model you use is free to use commercially)
You must use 2 or more of the phase-2-finalist images as references for your AI output.
Final voting will be judged by a panel after the rounds close.
One winning entry will be selected.
Winning Phase 3:
Minted on Zora in $lum.
70% funds Lum development.
25% goes to the Phase 3 winner.
4% distributed among Phase 2 finalists whose entries were used.
1% goes to the Phase 1 theme submission winner.
Phase 2 Finalists, and Phase 3 Finalists (who did not win):
Can be minted in a separate collection on Zora or Highlight, with 100% of the proceeds to the original artist(s).
All artists involved (reference images, remixed, etc.) have to agree to the split before it is minted.

Remixing.
You are allowed to remix art from previous submissions.
Remix by quote-casting back into the main /luminous channel
Splits for minting remixes must be agreed upon by all parties involved.
Voting:
To be eligible to vote, you must subscribe to the Luminous Hypersub.
Finalists
Top 20 submissions become finalists.
Finalists can be minted into a Luminous NFT Collection, if all creators involved want to.
Finalist artwork will be incorporated into the phase 3 AI artwork submissions.
You may use your own outputs from phase-2, but at least half need to be from someone else.
Your process must be documented either in the replies or a separate document.
How to Submit:

No remixing other phase 3 entries.
Do not try to directly copy a phase 2 submission idea or composition. You are using them for references, but the goal is to let AI make them into something totally new. Judges will look favorably on newness and originality.

Include a short summary of your process, including the phase 2 reference images used, either in the post or in the replies.
To complete your submission, post the image in the Jokerace Contest, and include a link to your post in the /luminous channel.

We will use Jokerace to narrow to round-3 finalists.
You will have 48 hours after the contest closes to cast your votes.

Giving the judges until Thursday. Top voted from phase 3 will be minted on Zora, according to the contest description. But I want to also give phase 2 finalists a cool opportunity to mint, since there were also such good pieces in that phase. But still working on that.
