Metaforo bridges Crypto Projects from Web2 to Web3. Replacing cumbersome across platform operations with a one-stop Governance Tool Set.
Some Web3 forum features that are first time available to the Crypto project communities:
Airdrop + Peer to Peer Tipping - Customize Rules for Airdrops and Participate-to-Earn Rewards
Token/NFT Gated Permission and Voting - Not only controls who can vote but also rewards members who voted
NFT Badges and Titles - Cross platform reputation and moderation based on NFT
Discourse to Metaforo Migration - All content and users including forum URL are migrated unchanged adding Token gated permissions and other Web3 features
Community governance is the cornerstone of the success of almost all crypto projects. The lack of onchain support of the existing forum systems can’t support the growing demand of these communities to govern the day-to-day activities with onchain proof. Metaforo was built to replace the Web 2 forum systems for Web 3 projects. The problems of Web 2 forums supporting Web 3 projects:
Monetization - monetization is a big problem for web2 communities. On Metaforo, all community members can earn through the value of their membership tokens. I.e. Airdrops/NFT drops/Peer to Peer rewards
Membership - Web2 communities often struggle to define who is a member vs. a viewer. This makes it difficult for community builders to understand and serve their core communities. With Metaforo, membership (and ownership) is measured in tokens, which gives members access to gated content, voting rights, etc.
Engagement - in web2 communities, a lot of effort is put into creating content and organizing event just to keep their members engaged. With Metaforo, because of the token incentives that the system provides, members who hold tokens should be financially incentivized to contribute to the community on an ongoing basis.
Data Ownership - Data is centrally owned by the forum platform in web2 communities. Content created on Metaforo is stored on Arweave.
Currently, we are targeting two groups of users. Those crypto projects that do not have a forum system and those already have some online communities presence i.e. a discourse forum.
