BGD Labs, the protocol's core technical contributor for 4 years, announced it will exit by April 2026. Now Aave Chan Initiative (ACI) founder Marc Zeller has announced a similar departure.

The trigger: the "Aave Will Win" funding proposal passed with only 52.58% approval — 622,300 votes in favor, 497,100 against. Zeller publicly alleged that Aave Labs-affiliated addresses manipulated the outcome.

• All revenue allocated to: UNI token buyback & burn
