The new energy vehicle is reoriented. On 5 May, the Standing Committee of the State Council considered the adoption of the views on accelerating the development of advanced manufacturing clusters, the deployment of accelerated electricity infrastructure and better support for the uprooting and rural revitalization of new energy vehicles. Institutional analysis, low penetration rates in rural areas of new energy vehicles, large market spaces fuelled by new energy vehicles, and the demand for filling power can also be on the rise. It is expected that in 2025, the country will require additional fillings, or more than 7 million, and that the market space for recharges is expected to exceed $16 billion.
This regular session of the country noted that the rural new energy automobile market has a large space to speed up the construction of a recharge infrastructure, not only to facilitate the purchase of new energy vehicles, to release rural consumption potential, but also to develop new industries such as rural tourism, which will give new impetus to rural revitalization.
In response to the energy infrastructure, the regular session of the country stressed the need to focus on the salient bottlenecks that constrain the uprooting of new energy vehicles, to build up recharge infrastructure at a moderate rate, to develop, operate and maintain innovative recharge infrastructure, and to ensure “manufactured, managed and sustainable”.
Mon, the National Development Reform Commission press spokesperson, said that automotive consumption was the “majority” that underpinned consumption and that it would expedite the construction of recharges and urban parking facilities, significantly promote the lowering of new energy vehicles and encourage automobile enterprises to develop more suitable vehicle models in rural districts. At the same time, the implementation of the pilot project for the complete electromization of vehicles in the public domain has been accelerated.
The Secretary-General of the Federation, Choi Young-dong, believes that new energy vehicles have greater penetration potential in the downstream market than in large cities, and that moving new energy vehicles down in small and medium-sized cities is a corollary that determines the need to build up fillings and promote the spread of new energy vehicles through the early layout of fillings.
New energy vehicles are known to have entered their fourth year. CIA data show that, in 2022, the lower-lying vehicle fleet completed the sale of a total of 265.98 million vehicles, an increase of 87 per cent over the same period in 2021, with a total of 28 automobile enterprises and 64 bus-type active responses to new energy vehicles. The first three years of the “bottom-up” campaign led to the cumulative sale of more than 4.1 million new energy sub-farm vehicles, with more than five times the annual sales of new domestic energy vehicles.
The Deputy Chief Engineer of CIA, Xudong, indicated that consumer awareness of new energy vehicles had improved over the past three years, that misconceptions about new energy vehicles had largely been eliminated in terms of vehicle-type choices, and that consumer preferences for new energy vehicles had emerged.
In the view of Hong Kong, some of the preferential policies offered by downstream activities, both in terms of advocacy, activity, policy and business, will further stimulate rural market performance. It stated: “This time, from the attitude of the regular session of the country, the country is, in fact, the sub-counter of the new energy vehicle, which should be said to be a force of very good consumption.”
According to the study, it is projected that by 2030, nearly 160 vehicles in rural areas in China will have a total of over 70 million vehicles. The source securities indicate that new energy vehicle penetration rates are now above 50 per cent in one line city, while some three to four lines of urban penetration is less than 10 per cent, and market space stimulated by new energy vehicles is undoubtedly enormous.
It is worth noting that, while new energy vehicles are promising in the rural market, problems such as lack of infrastructure for recharge and inadequate service networks affect the pace of development of new energy vehicles in rural areas. As of January 2023, the cumulative total number of our recharge infrastructure was 54.11 million, but only 18.39 million public fillings, one third of which were slowly filling, were approximately 8-10 hours for a car. In addition, in terms of geographical distribution, the recharge infrastructure is more concentrated in the eastern coastal areas as well as in the economically developed provinces and cities, with inadequate capacity-building in district and communes.
The stock analysis concluded that the modest super-preparation infrastructure proposed at the regular session of the State would facilitate rapid growth in the demand for recharges, a lower number of car pillars than would be sustained, and that upstream producers of spare parts, medium- and high-yielding power plants and downstream refrigerator operators would meet the opportunity for rapid development.
