Blockchain is a better internet. Are we going to distinguish between the two just in name… ‘web3' what does that mean? What does that mean to someone who understands nothing of blockchain?? It sounds like a fancy marketing ploy…

We need to better explain what’s going on. Or else we will all die. Dramatic. We’re all going to die, that’s nothing new. What’s relatively new is the extreme threat of annihilation. Self-termination. Climate apocalypse. Techno apocalypse. Civilisation collapse.

Hiding in a bunker does not protect you from the evisceration of the subjective. The destruction of story. Story is where we belong. Story is the keystone meme machine of our “sapien-ness”. It’s a hypersubject. All the words of story exist in some strange dimension that is superimposed on the otherwise completely strange world we inhabit. Glued to formations, like nfts on glued to a picture. I think nfts are bigger than we can imagine… I think that because our imagination, collectively has been exiled. Neoliberalism is always “right.” Through might and or shear perseverance, at some point you just decide to make the most of your situation while the going is good. Play the extraction game because that’s all there every has been.

Well it’s not all that’s ever been. It’s a bad dream. We were stewards of this beautiful planet before we started stock surplus and locking up our sisters. And we can be stewards again. We need to engage more serious with intuition. And love. And joy.

Sapiens. “We know” or “we know we know something” or “we thought we knew something once - “make [formation] great again” are entirely different things. “We know knowthings,” we know memes. We know words. Now we know NFTs. We can use all this stuff to shape hyperdimensional space. I love the world hyperdimensional. It sounds so sci-fi. But it’s just the place where tomato sauce live - not in the fridge, not at the store. “the tomato sauce” as an archetype is literally everywhere. Sauce everywhere. omg. I’m guessing this has something to do with Plato’s archetypes. You tell me please. Please. Teach me. Let’s talk.

Daisyworld | Daisyworld | Daisyworld | Daisyworld

This is the name of a collective centred around love and synergy.

It looks nice on the screen. It’s precious. Don’t disrespect it. Don’t surround it by adds. Don’t denigrate your mother. Daisyworld is the DAO that demonstrates our collective cognition can in fact order around sensible sense making and that deep deep longing for connection that is surely in all of us? Daisyworld is going to fund and facilitate decentralised governance. Daisyworld is going to be our brain for deploying all the incredible initiatives MEER reflection is coming up with. It is unequivically clear, we need SURFACE BASED Solar Radiation Management (SRM). MIRRORS. Shit loads of them. At least 3% of the worlds surface area. Land and sea. MULTIPLE positive “externalities”.

We need to make, if I remember this correctly, at least 15million km2 or mirrors. That’s twice the surface area of Australia. And you know what. I say that we could easily do that. So before yo scoff at it all realised this. Our entire story, as a species is under threat. And most complex life. And, look at the surface area we have totally fucked up over just a handful of decades. We are a hyperkeystone.

The surfaced base mirrors is a keystone initiative. There are thousands others that sit beneath. In this sense, the mirrors generate a trophic cascade. The MIRRORS will coordinate blockchain. Blockchain will coordinate the mirrors. See whats going on there. Reflection from the mirror. Sharing story. Wanting a better world. That is a reflection from a desolate reality. Look at r/collapse for 10 minutes. If you don’t begin to despair looking at this stuff you are possibly a psychopath and possibly a politician. The cycle of psychopathic circle jerks. The dirty hands of mining, the dirty minds of media monopolies, and the helpless state of political process. So tired of it. We neeeeeed to make this technology the antithesis of that.

Daisyworld is just an idea. But the coins are called PETL. Like petal, you know. Exciting. If this post is committed to chain this idea starts here. Well not really. The idea is everywhere. I have just used some language to package a combination of concepts that I see as having potential. Together they may enable our avoiding extinction, revitalising local community everywhere, and joyfully reinventing ourselves. Back to nature. We are all doing this right now. I can feel it around the place, in the corners and cracks. Getting brighter and louder.

“Nature” as a concept is problematic and we should talk about it more. There is no membrane between you and the “outer world.” Everything is relevant. Everything is connected. Ideas are like pooling information generating expression and engagement. If we can just decentralised this knowledge.

If we can successfully decentralise everything that would be great. And I think, if you hone on decentralising pools of information that would be excellent. This is why I’m so thrilled to find mirror. I have an idea called Mycelium Network Dialogue. It’s a better use of technology to share stories and to go deep on community. I wrote a pretty rough post about it here.

The key feature I think is the yarn circle. Well that’s what aboriginal people here in Australia call it in white fellas language. I would love to learn about the indigenous languages that are used to describe yarning circles. Sharing circles are a really overlooked and hugely powerful atmosphere. I like mirror because it’s tending towards replicating the atmosphere of a sharing circle.

I’m sure we’re about to get more tied up with one another. Like in a braid. Read Braiding Sweetgrass if you’ve not already. It is the book. It’s by Robin Wall Kimmerer. She is amazing.

You know what blockchain is good for?? Storyboarding.. Systems of sharing stories. I could keep precious a conversation I had with my mum once, it would be a NFT. Suddenly, all my interactions are more important than they were before. I guess if you’re reading this you already kind of get that… stories are energy. Money is tethered to energy - generally unofficially, or at least not explicitly. We don’t think about it enough. We mostly act stupid and just let these little tickets own us.

Storyboarding is how mirror.xyz works right? You own and control your information here. Right? (Like how Estonians own and control their data as autonomous citizens.) You have a big strong theoretical/technoactual vault you get to store all your goodies in. Right? We monetise ideas and visions. We incentivise coordination. And, we’re all still trying to understand wtf an nft is.

If you think about a word you’re thinking about an nft. A word, in any language, is a piece of code that tethers onto a formation. That formation is multidimensional and exists outside of the word, but not for us. We have to use nfts, in the form of language, to paint. We’re attempting to use paint to create a container to neatly fit a multidimensional form that is constantly shapeshifting. This cannot be done.

The world is empty of words. Yet the world is full of linguistic formations. Formations are hypersubjects swimming below in the depths of intuition and surrender. Words are like cheap fishing lines given way too much importance. And yet the only way out is in. Words need to be considered as we attempt to weaponise form. Yes. Weaponise. This is not a toy. The weapons are cryptoeconomic mechanisms that incentivises upward motion.

Upward motion is to stop looking down. Stop digging out the shit. Stop checking the balance sheet. Stop hoarding. Stop being a brat. It will take a while but then happen all at once. Imagine a bouncy ball as it hits the ground. And you threw it down hard. It compacts. It get hot. It needs release. It has been deflected, all it’s energy reverses and it rockets upward into paradise. hehe.

It’s a great thought. Imagine being present at the moment humanity turns from a downwards to upwards. Digging holes in the ground, digging holes in each other, to stretching out and up, sun on face, energy from the source, expansive dreaming and distributed aliveness. Some sort of wellness.

Well, that is what Daisyworld is about both physically and metaphysically. And spiritually (whatever you may think that word, remember all words are loaded). Don’t you think it all looks a little like this? Impact DAOs emerging every three minutes and DeFi endlessly iterating toward sound reliability. Might take a while yet. But I think we really need to get ecological engineering at a high priority in the crypto ecosystem. Let’s point this thing at something big. Sound the fog horns. Ecological engineering is the land ahead. Surrounding it is a Cambrian explosion of regenerative design informed by systems thinking. Informed by sensing chaos. And responding with love (and very diligent work)

I don’t know how to describe the inputting force. I understand a reflection. What’s the first thing. In a philosophical sense. Impression? Input? Energy? Source?

So ecological engineering is a way of changing our environment in a way that improves all the spheres operating in that space. Ecological engineering improves the overall health of the biogeophysical composition it is engaging with. We can make good choices according to an understanding of ecology. Not just an understanding, to say that would be a mistake. (and if this is my first blog post that it going to be enshrined in cryptographic fidelity I better think a little about the impact I want to make.

We can make good choices according to our relationships as ecology. We need to be present in the story of biodiversity. Ecography is story telling of the wider world. We need a lot more of it and really soon if we’re going to succeed in surviving the conditions we have made as petroleum addicts.

Mycography - story of the fungal hyperworld. The great decomposters.

These are words to use to package new forms of psycho-physical importance. We are building the forms to infuse with meaning and purpose and regeneration. Regeneration. You are a generator of all the these you long for. We need to commit to being serious about what we’re doing here. We’re building a radically way to experience the world. It’s a world passionate about distributed compassion. It is a psychedelic experience. It’s a world focused simultaneously on digesting and composting out shit. We need to turn our multigenerational trauma into fertiliser for this new thing.

I think we could start by industrialising radical acceptance. Blockchain has industrialised trustworthiness. So what is built on trust?

So an idea this morning. I’m sure it’s floating around.

I am going to make some NFTs. (the blockchain nfts everyones excited about. not words I write hehe). All the profits ever made ever will go to funding radical acceptance. I don’t know how to do that. This is my first post. So help. You will all decide on where the “royalties” go. And I hope it is something Tara Brach notices and gets on board with. Let’s make a Bodhisattva Mycelium Network Dialogue. Blockchain is deeply buddhist somehow. At least, it’s certainly a form of upaya-kausalya (skilful means).

A metasharing place. Facebook is one of these too, but facebook is so deeply fucked in the head. It is like a selfish head with no body at all. If you work there leave. Mirror is a place for compassion and respect. Which starts at respecting your story. That is your impression of the world... Facebook is a sly parasite. I will not allow them to leach on the to word “Meta”. It is fowl. Meta is important. Meta cognition, meta-analysis, metaphor. Metta loving kindness. I wonder how the words metta and meta are connected?

And how about this word. Metagraphy. Look at Rupert Murdoch, Musk, etc. It’s just power and narrative control broadly speaking. But it’s also intuiting the touch points on the collective psyche. They are kind of metagraphers, very highly skilled and resourced. Or should we say metanomist, like economist (nem- Proto-Indo-European root meaning "assign, allot; take). Adam Curtis is probably a metagrapher. Doesn’t that make metanomists shamanistic? Or at least it seems like pretty serious stuff. To most of us lemmings, the quality of the metagraphic space we inhabit is decided from above. It’s like greenhouse gases in an atmosphere. And in the metaspace, if you step out of line, you’ll end up tired or squashed. Just like an Extinction Rebellion school kid on the last Friday of human experience. If you haven’t watched Hypernormalisation it’s such a must. Cancel your plans, cuddle your pets, cancel all the things you thought you might think you know.

These rich slimy dudes just get their hands on the levers. Through luck mostly. It’s very greedy. As if the world and our experience of existence was their plaything. We can get our hands on the levers now. But in a beautiful way. And we make all those levers tiny, distributed across bioregions and ideaspace. Places of importance. Hyperspace included. Present your community elders with NFT badgers of honour. Produce sacred objects. Worship service. Cultivate brutal kindness.

We need healthy gardens - story and soil - for descendant survival.

I am happy to write this way. It feels fun a loose. Apologise for typos. I’m writing messy, like painting. Sorry if it appears like gobbledy goop, as my mum might say. I’m just coming to realised the magnitude of the opportunity we have. It is boom or bust. Fly or die. Sick or swim. Climate apocalypse (at the very least) or, planetary regeneration and biosocial recoupling.

Just stretch and keep looking upwards. We are perfectly sane in a totally bonkers culture.

I have spent so long mulling this stuff over. I just had lung surgery. Two months ago. Then my lung collapsed three weeks ago. It’s all a little hectic. Lungs hey. The feeling you get from thinking you might die on the footpath is super powerful though. I’m grateful. I know for certain is that life is right now. Do not fuck around with irrelevant bullshit. Meaning is everywhere. Be kind always and you will find kindness everywhere. Do not degrade any story you see as important to up keep. And be respectful when dismantling dysfunctional stories. All stories are important. Even the nightmares. Tell people to stick up for the stories that inhabit them. That’s how fractal sovereignty works. What are the universal stories and how do we enable them to pollinate the collective psyche? What tonic doth thine need? To thine own self be true.
