Hello, welcome to these thought bubbles. Below is a small collection of things I’ve been reflecting on and attempting to develop. I welcome any feedback.

MND is still a vague concept, searching for definitions and process. I imagine data sovereignty and sacred digital groups holding space as critical foundations. I imagine citizens entrusting their stories with certain sharing circles who have developed respect and dialogue. These are critical digital infrastructures for mass collaboration, all enabled by decentralised ledger technology at the edge of the planetary collapse. Quite a coincidence.

Mycelium Network Dialogue

I’d love to hear any of your reflections. This is all about creating space and interaction with the micro audience. Small groups are the atomic unit of community, they deserve better environments than the current social media landscape offers.

Small groups deserve environments that will nourish and empower them. Fortunately, Web3 is quickly making this a reality.

Mycelium Network Dialogue is about creating warm digital atmospheres for sharing reflections and yarns. It’s a dialogue around meaning, sense-making and connection with the great whole.

By minting stories as NFTs we can hold them with the respect and reverence they deserve. Digital scarcity enables control and containment of story, the opposite of virality (which is personally my worst nightmare). Containment mean not to be known by all but by those who matter most. This will trigger a cultural shift I’m sure of it.

Social media platforms farms people’s minds, to then sell very private data about their attention to large advertising firms. Those firms sell those people stuff that they think they need as a result of well-documented manipulations of behaviour perpetrated by those social media platforms. We are quite literally living in a boring dystopia.

This thing happening on the internet is connecting us with a higher intelligence - our higher intelligence. We are swimming upstream from ideology and propaganda, and we’re seeing clearly that the pope has hairs on his bum too, and Putan is just super upset and needs a hug. So is Zalenski. So is Kim. So is Arden. So is Albanese.

We all suffer from the frightening fact that at some stage we need to become the responsible ones in the room and also some very specific time in the future we going to die. Writing that makes it sound like a threat but what I’m referring to is just the very naked truth that we will die and have no idea what then… And now somehow, we have brought the entire biosphere to the brink of collapse. It is absolutely chaotic and self-terminating behaviour. And no one wants to be apart of it if truth be told. So we need to sense make.

We need to sense, and we need to respond to sense. We cannot just sense, we need to sense make. That is what sensemaking is all about after all. Making = responding; sense = hearing, feeling etc.

In order for us to sense make more effectively we are starting The Great Mycelium Musaeum.

The Great Mycelium Musaeum connects you to your greatest great of great grandchildren. We - as in, us all - catalogue and curate the storytelling of our times, making it available - all in the one place, all at the one time.

Mycelium Network Dialogue is a type of media that is contributed to the library for safekeeping and sensemaking. The GMM is an imaginary place until it is not. Eventually, it is everywhere, spreading the simple stories that make our days interesting and enjoyable to live.

Gardening is interesting and enjoyable. So is farming. So is planetary restoration at planetary scale. And restoration is everything. Restoring our: communities, families, spiritual lives, biodiversities, and regenerative agricultural lives. Restoring faith in the goodness of simple life. In connection and friendship; share meals and campfires. Restoring our oceans and forests. Restoring overtime, and restoring and restoring.

Restoring through Daisyworld in a daisy-chain of Decentralised Autonomous Organisations. Like a computer wiring up a convert takeover. We are merging with technology for the most sacred of reasons - effective regeneering.

We realise this moment is perfectly in parallel with a realisation that technology has always had a hold over us, or rather those holding power - over the centralised ledgers of history - had a technological hold over us.

Restoring slowly.

Slowly. Until we reach a Deeper Ecology. Then who knows, but through utilising Mycelium Network Dialogue we can create a sure way to send a message down the line.
