Not the whole movie, of course, just moments. He just didn't pull off the difficult moments. I couldn't help feeling that he just didn't give a fuck about the role anymore.
It's just really, it's so weird. Everyone around here is trying, playing their roles, but not the main star. James Franco is very good.
But the main award and all the accolades, I think, is deserved by the actor who played the Sandman--Thomas Hayden Church.
When he tells us at the end what really happened the night Uncle Peter was killed, it's such a rip-off. With one play he destroys all of Tobey Maguire's dramatic moments. I almost got tears when he says, "I didn't want to become like that. The only thing left of me... is my daughter."
