GM to all you beautiful Web3 builders. This is my published reflection for the Alchemy Road To Web3 Week 2 challenge. Let’s get stuck in!
My name is Gabe or Mr Biskit a former Chef de cuisine who has begun my blockchain developer journey. I have been learning and playing around with software development for the last two years, part time while running several restaurants. I have recently quit my job to follow software development as a career full time.
I wanted to complete this lesson because I find the Alchemy community incredibly engaging and insightful. Completing these lessons and publishing them will create feedback from the community and senior devs. Not to mention the slick PoK you receive.
I completed the project on the 9th Of November 2022 but started on the 5th of November 2022. I really fell deep into the learning rabbit hole to try and get the look and feel I wanted for the dApp.
I used the following technologies on this project:
Hardhat
Ethers.js
Next.js
Tailwind CSS
I enjoyed the ease of which Albert explains concepts and how the certain components link together. His relaxed and friendly teaching style allows for the student to be more engaged in the lesson. I enjoyed being able to link my contract to a frontend as I have been only working with Solidity backend stuff for the last few months.
Ahhh the list is endless on what useful applications you can create. However one example that stems from this lesson. Is the ability to create a platform where communities can contribute directly to an independant team of creatives for future projects. This means watered down funds will not occur between some middleman but will go straight into the teams pockets (or wallets).
I would recommend this project to anyone who is looking to get funding in some way from a community.
Please can I receive my PoK on the following address:

I go into some more detail about the project on my Discord submission as well as my twitter profile. Go check it out.
