PricewaterhouseCoopers: a review of new energy industries and acquisitions in China, 2022

In 2022, China’s new energy sector and purchase and disclose transactions amounted to $3,91.7 billion in the People’s Democratic Republic of the Congo, with 716 transactions, a record high over the reporting period. The average value of transactions was approximately yuan renminbi, representing a substantial increase of 22 per cent over the year 2021, of which three large-scale mergers and acquisitions alone of more than 100 million yuan renminbi, with a combined value of nearly S$ 68 billion, respectively, from the chain of the power-cell industry and the photovoltaic industry. In 2022, mergers were dominated by domestic transactions, and exit transactions continued unabated, gradually returning to the pre-epidemiological level.

In the breakdown area, the accelerated development of new energy vehicles has contributed to a steady increase in the value of their entire industry chain investments, with a further doubling of the value and volume of the core component power battery portfolio transactions over 2021; a different degree of growth in the wind, photovoltaic chain, storage and hydrogen energy industries; and a reduction in the volume and volume of investments in the new energy infrastructure block due to the reduction in large transactions related to centralized power stations.
