As the military mobilization of Ukrainian men intensifies, it's high time for them to realize that technically Russia declared war on Ukraine and Ukraine only. Of course, Ukraine had no choice but to declare war on its men. The same way Russia encroaches on Ukrainian territories and its right to exist, the same way Ukraine encroaches on the men's bodies and their right to exist. In the first case it's called "Special Military Operation", in the second case it's called "mobilization". It's men against their own government. It's men against their own country.
Any state, and Ukraine isn't an exception, behaves like a living organism which has only one objective - survive. That's why Ukraine will go as far as sending each and every man down to the last one in order to continue existing - even if in the end it will be pointless because now you are literally out of the most valuable resource a country can have - a healthy male population. Ukraine as a country behaves 100% egoistic as it should to (the universal will to exist in play here), then why would anyone else expect Ukrainian men to behave in any other way? It's their duty to defend their own interests to the highest degree.
Ukraine can't exist without its citizens, but the citizens can live without Ukraine. That's why it's so absurd to me to "fight for your country". Especially if the aforementioned country declared a war on you. Now, please, tell me, how a man with self-respect can stay in a country (after the war is over, of course, because today he doesn't have a choice but to stay anyway) which wanted to take everything from him, which wanted to make him suffer, which wanted him dead? It's the ultimate betrayal. Can you imagine having any kind of connection to an old friend who betrayed, robbed, tortured and wanted to murder you? I can't.
So true.
