Until now, minting an NFT in the Nodle app required holding NODL tokens to cover the minting fee. That meant new users had an extra step before they could turn their first photo into an on-chain asset. We've changed that.
In-app purchases are now available on both iOS and Android for minting NFTs, including single mints and all edition sizes. You can pick a photo, choose your edition, and pay directly through your App Store or Play Store account. No wallet setup, no token purchases, no friction.
Every NFT you mint on the Nodle network is built on the ERC-1155 multi-token standard, a single smart contract that handles all token types, from unique 1-of-1 photos to limited edition collections. That means every copy is a real on-chain asset your holders fully own and can transfer, no platform lock-in, no strings attached.
This update introduces four minting tiers, each designed for a different use case:

Whether you are minting a 1-of-1 keepsake or a 100-copy open edition for your community, the process is the same: pick a photo, choose your tier, pay, and you are minted.
The minting flow has been designed to be as simple as possible:
Pick a photo - choose any image from your camera roll or take a new one directly in the app.
Preview and confirm - review how your image will look before committing. You can crop or adjust before continuing.
Choose your edition - select single mint, edition of 25, 50, or 100.
Add a name and description - make your NFT discoverable and tell its story.
Pay and mint - complete the in-app purchase and your NFT is minted on the Nodle network.
Once minted, your NFT appears in your wallet straight away. You can view it, share a link, or wrap it in an envelope and send it to anyone, no app or wallet required on their end. Pick a design, attach your NFT, and share a link. It's the easiest way to gift a piece of your collection to your community.
This update also brings group chat support to the Nodle app, powered by XMTP. Head over to the chats tab, tap the plus icon in the top right corner, and add your friends. That's it. Your conversations are end-to-end encrypted and stored on a decentralized protocol, so no platform can read, sell, or take them away from you. Your conversation truly stays yours.
We heard your feedback and acted on it. Beyond the new minting tiers, this update includes targeted polish to two areas the community flagged after the initial rollout.
The way minting costs are presented has been redesigned based on your input. You can now see exactly what you're paying per copy and per edition at a glance, before you confirm anything. The pricing breakdown is front and center, so there are no surprises.
The flow for importing assets into your Nodle wallet via Mesh has also been streamlined, with a cleaner User Interface and a more intuitive step-by-step experience. Mesh Connect lets you move funds from exchanges directly into your own self-custody wallet inside the app, and these improvements make that process feel as smooth as it should be.
The next release will bring support for the Bitcoin and Solana network to bring you more opportunities in the future of finance.
