At sunset, the calm Yujiang River is sparkling under the reflection of the sunset, and the scenery is charming. However, there is another hot scene along the river. Excavators, mixers, tower cranes and irrigation machines are busy expanding the second-line ship lock project of Xijin water control project in Hengxian County, Guangxi.

Hengxian County is located at the intersection of the Pearl River Xijiang economic belt and Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone. The second line ship lock project of Xijin water control project is a key project for Guangxi to implement the “development plan of the Pearl River Xijiang economic belt”, and it is also a key project of the infrastructure construction conference of the Xijiang economic belt. After completion, 3000 ton ships can directly reach Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Bay area from Nanning through Hengxian County and Guigang, which will play an important role in building the golden waterway of Xijiang River and driving the development of regional economic cooperation.
