Dear Pepu Community,
In Phase 1 we answered the hardest question: why should Pepu exist?
Our answer was simple. Pepe Unchained is a Consumer First chain.
But a direction is only a sentence until something real stands behind it. Phase 2 was about turning that sentence into something people can actually use.
At the end of Phase 1 we also gave ourselves a test:
Does this make it easier for someone to build?
Or easier for someone to use?
Everything in this update was built to pass that test.

The chain worked. Blocks were produced, tokens traded and the community was active.
But for a normal person, using an app on Pepu felt like using every other blockchain. Install a wallet. Write down twelve secret words. Buy tokens just to pay fees. Approve a popup for every click.
Most people give up somewhere along that list.
Builders didn't have it much easier. Some basic building blocks that other chains take for granted were missing from Pepu entirely. The documentation was thin, so starting a new app meant working everything out from scratch.
That was the friction we set out to remove.
Three things a user should never have to think about
We focused on three ideas, which we call the three pillars.
1. Sign in with Google.
No browser extension and no seed phrase. A user signs in with Google or email like they would on any other app, and a wallet is created for them in the background. The wallet is theirs; they just never have to deal with how it works.
2. Approve once.
On most blockchain apps, every action opens a wallet popup. Imagine a game asking for permission every time you jump. With session keys, a user approves once, with clear limits on what the app is allowed to do, and then simply plays. They can switch it off whenever they want.
3. No gas.
A new user shouldn't have to buy PEPU before trying an app. With gas sponsorship, the app pays the transaction fee for the user. On Pepu that fee is a fraction of a cent, so apps can easily afford it.
Put the three together and you get this: sign in with Google, approve once, then use the app with no popups and no fees.

It feels like a normal app. The blockchain fades into the background, just as we promised in Phase 1.
This isn't a plan. It's LIVE on Pepu mainnet today.
You can try it yourself at roadmap-demo.pepeunchained.com. Sign in with Google, start tapping, and watch real transactions land on chain without a single popup or a cent of gas.

Users only get that experience if builders can deliver it easily.
In Phase 1 we wrote: "A founder shouldn't spend two weeks learning our chain before writing their first contract."
So we built a complete developer kit.
The Pepu SDK. A toolbox for developers. Instead of building login, approvals and gas sponsorship themselves, they plug in pieces that are ready to use.
create-pepu-app. One command gives a builder a working app with login already connected and all the network details filled in. They pick from six starting points: a simple consumer app, a token-gated app, an NFT mint, a game, and two gas-free apps, including the full no-popup, no-gas experience.
New documentation. docs.pepeunchained.com is now the single place to learn how to build on Pepu. It has more than 100 pages, with step-by-step guides and ready-to-copy examples covering everything from a first app to the advanced features.
Tools for AI coding assistants. More and more builders write code with an AI assistant at their side. Our MCP server and agent skills give those assistants accurate knowledge of Pepu, so they stop guessing. A builder can describe an idea, for example "a tap game where players pay no gas and approve once", and the assistant picks the right template, sets it up, checks the configuration and gets it running.
To be clear, this does not make Pepu an "AI chain." As we said in Phase 1, AI is a feature, not a destination. These tools are infrastructure that helps builders ship faster, including builders working on AI products.
The foundations underneath
Some of this needed new groundwork on the chain itself.
• Missing standard contracts are now live. The core contracts that apps on other chains rely on have been deployed on Pepu, verified and documented.
• Pepu runs its own gas sponsorship services. The services that relay transactions and pay fees on behalf of users are hosted by Pepu, not rented from a third party for a monthly fee.
• Gas budgets live on the chain. Any project can deposit PEPU into its own gas budget to cover its users' fees. The rules sit in a public smart contract, so anyone can check them. Pepu also funds a free daily allowance for users of its own apps.
Phase 1 promises, revisited
In Phase 1 we listed what we expected this work to include. Here is where it stands:
✅ Simpler onboarding for new users
✅ Social logins and smart accounts
✅ Gas sponsorship
✅ Better developer documentation
✅ SDKs and templates that cut development time
✅ Better APIs and infrastructure
✅ Easier deployment and testing, including a built-in check that tells builders exactly what's misconfigured
Phase 1 gave Pepu a direction. Phase 2 gave it the tools.
Phase 3 is about the people who use them: partnerships, builder incentives, support for high-potential projects, and consumer apps that everyday users enjoy coming back to.
The tools are ready. Now it's time to build.
