“Live up to your youth and live up to your village” records ashati, the “horseback doctor” walking through the depths of Tianshan Mountain, at 09:39 on May 17, 2019
Supervised by the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and jointly launched by mango TV and Hunan Economic TV channel to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the May 4th movement, the second season of the youth documentary film “live up to youth and live up to the village” is launched on Mango TV every Thursday to Saturday at 10 a.m. and broadcast on Hunan Economic TV from Friday to Sunday at 18:20 p.m. The ninth issue will tell the story of young doctor ashati coming to Xinjiang baozader pastoral health center and sticking to the Tianshan pastoral area with an average altitude of more than 2500 meters to treat herdsmen.
Bandar is one of the most remote areas in Xinjiang. There are more than 1000 herdsmen in bauzader, a 2200 square kilometer area, scattered among high mountains, valleys and vast grasslands. With plenty of light and lush grass, it is the most ideal nomadic land in the west of Tianshan Mountain. However, most of the pastoral areas here have no power supply, communication and Standard Pastoral roads - Bandar is still a “three noes” area. Bandar pastoral health center is the most remote and smallest health center in the county. It is also the only health center where doctors can’t sit down and rely on visiting the mountains.
The inspection team should follow the horse road and rely on their memory to find herdsmen for inspection. It has been stuck for 41 years. When the diagnosis and treatment team goes out for inspection, they need to ride through the high mountain and deep valley with only one A4 paper wide horse path. If they are careless, it is easy to have accidents. “Twenty eight sheep”, “four cattle” and “three Mongols”, these landmarks that record the lives of people who once fell off the cliff, all show the difficulty and danger of the road.
Ashati, a 30-year-old Kazakh boy, was assigned to the bozader pastoral health center after graduating from Xinjiang Medical University in 2016. Seven people, including him, were assigned here. Due to the difficult conditions, in less than three months, the six people who came with him left one after another. Only he stayed in bauzader for three years.
In November 2018, ashati was transferred to the county health center on loan. Because of his excellent performance, he was invited to join the company. Is to choose better conditions to stay? Or continue to return to the pastoral areas with difficult conditions and sparse population and continue to contribute to the herdsmen?
