Things don't always fit into neat little boxes. Sometimes two things can be true at once, and sometimes there's a third perspective that reveals something neither could on its own.
I've been exploring the relationship between photography and painting since 2019, when I began releasing my first NFT collections.
Initially, this approach became a way to tell stories about my art and preserve moments from my creative practice. In later collections, I brought together photographs of live painting performances and images of the paintings themselves, capturing both the act of creation and what emerged from it. It was a way of showing that the process is also the art. To me, even more so than the finished painting.
Over time, I've continued returning to this relationship between the body, the image, and the painting. Some collections explored embodiment and artistic identity; others developed alongside writing that gave the work a deeper conceptual framework.
With Neither, Yet Both, I'm bringing together a day of modeling and a year of painting.
The photographs capture a range of moments, some theatrical and some simply about being present. Meanwhile, painting has become a kind of visual journaling for me throughout 2026. I've been working on several pieces at once, adding small bits at a time, layering colors and textures, and following the work without a clear destination in mind.
Bringing these images together is like bringing different parts of my life into conversation.
I'm more than a model, more than a painter, more than a performer. These works draw from all those parts of my practice, blending photography, painting, abstraction, and digital tools into something that isn't any one of those things alone.
Neither, yet both.
This is the newest chapter in an ongoing exploration of embodied abstraction, and another way to Be the Art.
