Polygon Labs will discontinue support for its Edge framework and instead focus on extensions to the Polygon Chain Development Kit (CDK). Polygon Edge was originally developed as an open source tool under the Apache License 2.0, designed to create custom blockchain networks compatible with Ethereum. But over the past year, the team's development focus has changed, and now the focus is not on continuing to use Polygon Edge, but on Polygon CDK, a toolkit designed for developing various L2 ZK-Rollups, deployed using the CDK The chain is expected to be interoperable in more blockchain networks.
