I'm starting a new series "On Sight". Goal is to find and test new consumer products and share my thoughts. This is my first post and AUX is on sight. Keeping it short, raw and unfiltered, appreciate all feedback!
In the age of algorithmic slop feed, the loudest voice gets all the attention and often good content gets lost, from music, art, writing to videos that are hidden/deprioritized by the system. AUX is simply a terminal to discover lost great content that is all over the internet, AUX incentivizes posting links in the form of ATTN (think of it as reddit upvotes). You post a link of something you like and you earn ATTN when you post something so compelling that other people on the app decide to spend their ATTN on it.
What I like about AUX is it's simplicity, no wallet connect or signing option, using it doesn't even feel like you are using a crypto product and that's how I believe a product should be, I'm not a big fan of throwing jargon's on users face with terminology from whitepapers, it should be clean and simple to use.
I see AUX as a pre-pmf product finding its niche audience before locking in a long term direction. The founder Mike is a good builder who gets the attention economy and has been shipping good features. Recently shipped AUX LIVE - that's a new version of the internet radio that lives onchain with live feed and tipping, think it can become a great place for creators and new talent to showcase their art/music and do live sound experiments with their audience, unlocks a great product potential - live feed, instant feedback, unfiltered interaction with the audience. Love the early version of this product!
