Horizontal Elevators

For years now, I have been dreaming about Future technologies. I didn’t initially really take it too seriously until I started noticing those dreams of technologies became a reality when I started seeing my dreams come to life.

I wondered what I could do with this gift and, since no company will hire people based on the dreams they have.

Imagine apple hiring a Vice President of Technology with dreams and insights. So I decided to start blogging about my ideas in order to give value to anyone interested in following through.

Also, because I essentially want travel light.

First in my series in no particular order is the Horizontal Elevator. In my dream, I saw myself and some people enter an elevator, this elevator however moved horizontally and was fast.

When I woke up, I got some more insights on how this can be of value,

Sometimes, people are moving from one building to another very distant building on the same campus. Some companies have very large square meters and moving from one end to another could require driving, cycling, or a golf cart.

Additionally, sometimes the weather outside might not be perfect

Imagine having all buildings connected through a horizontal elevator where you can move from one building to another easily.

Yes, exercise is good, but for days when your body needs a bit of help or break, this might be particularly useful.

One thing I cannot remember since this is a very old dream is if we had to stand or sit in the elevator.

Now I think this technology doesn’t necessarily have to be exactly like an elevator and it could be further enhanced.

Another possibility is connecting the horizontal elevator with the vertical one so the arrivals arrive on the ground floor of the elevator

Also, the elevator could be built underground in the similar way underground passages are structured

Since this was such a long time ago, this was the best I could remember from the dream, I do hope it helps someone.
