What are P2E games?
P2E games are a by-product of GameFi, which is the idea of merging gaming elements with NFTs and DeFi technologies. P2E games are based on the blockchain and involve the incentivization of players through monetary rewards, allowing them to earn money in an open economy.
Problems:
most P2E games benefit a central operator at the expense of their many individual players. This is the antithesis of Web 3.
A more sustainable, impactful P2E ecosystem must be free, fair, transparent, and purposefully decentralized. this is what’s missing in recent P2E games
P2E is that earning has less to do with playing than investing. Players must first spend considerably, up to thousands of dollars, buying NFTs or paying a third-party guild to rent them.
P2E games need to be able to attract gamers and grow the community even without the earning aspects of it. The earning aspect is more of a means to amplify the growth.
