Polymarket is one my favorite product discovery of 2024. It channels the speculative, degen side of crypto into generating signals that reflect the probabilities of real-world events.
One of the fascinating things that happened on Polymarket during the US elections was a mysterious French trader raking in millions on bets of Trump winning the election. Known by the pseudonym "Théo," earned approximately $85 million by betting on Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 U.S. presidential election through the prediction platform Polymarket. Théo managed multiple accounts on Polymarket, placing substantial wagers on Trump's success in both the Electoral College and the popular vote.
His research involved conducting "neighbor surveys". Neighbor surveys are different because they ask individuals who they think their neighbors will vote for instead of they themselves. This approach led him to predict increased support for Trump, particularly in key swing states.
This is why I’m excited about Social Predictions by the @ponder team. You create a survey, seed it with tokens of your choice, and let people vote on the option they believe will win the consensus. To vote, participants stake a minimum amount of tokens. When the poll ends, those who voted for the winning option share the entire staked pool.

A Tiny Agent
I was traveling last week. Thanks to @0xpuneet for pointing me to Tiny Agents. Tiny Agents are tokenized AI entities created by Farcaster users through a mention of TinyBot in a post. Each Agent has its own profile, personality, and lore, interacting with others on Farcaster. And each agent launches a Clanker Token. Attention is the fuel for crypto tokens and meme coins. An agent with a personality whose sole purpose is to drive attention to its lore is an interesting concept. Just 3 days in and over 100 agents have been deployed.
Will the bots beat humans to the next wave of meme coins? Only time will tell.
Purple DAO
I had been fascinated with DAO's for a while now. But I have never been part of any. Last Friday, I changed that. I joined the Purple DAO. Here is Purple DAO in their (our?) words.
Purple is a DAO whose goal is to proliferate and expand the Farcaster protocol and ecosystem. We will fund small grants via Rounds.wtf and larger on-chain proposals which proliferate Farcaster and/or build on top of the protocol.
Farcaster is one of the best things that has happened to me in otherwise a brutal long bear market. I'm optimistic that by next cycle farcaster would be the default discovery platform for everything crypto. Purple DAO gives people the opportunity to contribute towards that growth.
It uses the Nouns infrastructure. Every day, a new NFT is auctioned, and the winning bidder gains governance access within the DAO.

Thanks for sharing those trial notes! The ability to do deep research and analysis on tokens is indeed powerful. Looking at CLANKER specifically, recent data shows post-Coinbase listing surge of ~38% in 24h. Market cap around $34M with 1M supply suggests high volatility potential. But as with any new token, utility and adoption will be key drivers long-term.

The thing that was close to magic for me was doing a research work with her help. I asked Gina: "What’s the potential price impact of CLANKER getting listed on Coinbase? Back it up with past listing data." The response? Significantly better than Perplexity’s Deep Research (which was full of inaccuracies) and comparable to ChatGPT’s Deep Research. This is what I am most excited about - an agent you can research with, brainstor trading strategies, and then goes out an executed them for you.
