Communnity Lead

To who it may concern,

Please accept my application for the role of: Community Lead

Web3 and Ethereum go hand in hand, ushering in the next generation of the web and transforming what it takes for a company and its product to thrive. To succeed in this newly revolutionising version of the Web, having a strong and engaged community is essential.

Having worked professionally as a Community Manager and Head of Marketing and Ecosystem, I’ve gained extensive experience in the management, leadership and the successful growth of multiple large-scale Web3 communities.

The Ethereum Foundation is dedicated to providing that much needed critical support to Ethereum and it’s ecosystem helping supply it with that long-term success. My time as Head of Marketing allowed me to gain experience in engaging with a large network of contributors and stakeholders, which helped me consistently improve the companies product and overall, the community. I am confident that with this role, I’ll be able to cast a large net and take aspiration from all corners of the community to help improve and provide support to Ethereum.

As a Community Manager, I value the importance of having excellent interpersonal skills, particularly when interacting with potential collaborators in the ecosystem. There have been numerous instances where these skills have proven essential, whether it's resolving conflicts, overcoming obstacles, responding to a diverse range of questions on community calls, or being the voice of the community. Developing a strong level of trust and positive rapport with those who are most invested in the project is critical, and interpersonal skills play a key role in achieving that.

However, at the core, one of my main responsibilities will be setting and executing growth metrics for community happiness and engagement. Part of my previous role was to keep a clear track of the growth metrics for our community across a multitude of platforms. Analysing these metrics every sprint showed me where and in which communities help and encouragement was needed. Not only did this fan the flame of the community, but also was a show of strength, showcasing the correlated growth between the community and the product itself.

Ethereum and myself share the same values; being open-source and following the path of decentralisation. This cements my own personal enthusiasm towards Ethereum, being a supporter and contributor of the ecosystem for quite some time. I now believe It’s time for me to jump in and join the team thats using the power of Ethereum to help shape the future of the web for the better.

Thank you for considering my application for the position of Community Lead at the Ethereum Foundation. I am eager to bring my skills, experience, and passion to the role and help Ethereum and the community succeed.

Yours Faithfully,

Remy Le Berre
