On April 29, the reporter learned from the Sichuan meteorological observatory that during the “May Day” period (from the evening of April 29 to May 4), there was a cooling and rainfall weather process in our province due to the influence of high altitude and low trough and cold air.

The scope of this cooling rainfall is quite large - there are showers or thunderstorms in most parts of the basin, the rainfall is small to moderate, there are heavy rains in some parts of the southwest and south, individual rainstorms, when the cold air is affected, there is a northerly wind of force 5-7, the mountain pass and valley can reach force 8 or above, and the daily average temperature will drop by 4-7 ℃

This cooling rainfall will have a short impact - the cooling rainfall period is from the evening of April 29 to the evening of May 1.

From May 2, the basin is dominated by cloudy to sunny weather, and the temperature rises. In the later part of the holiday, the feeling of summer will come back.

Therefore, the best choice for travel is the middle of the holiday - the weather has cleared up and the temperature hasn’t risen too high.

It is planned to drive to the Western Sichuan Plateau and Panxi area during the holidays. The weather in the early stage is not very awesome.

From April 30 to May 2, there were showers in most parts of the Western Sichuan Plateau and Panxi region, with small to moderate rainfall and local heavy rain. The daily average temperature in Panxi region will drop by 8-11 ℃ and the Western Sichuan Plateau will drop by 4-8 ℃.

From May 3 to 4, it was cloudy in the south of Ganzi Prefecture and Panxi area, with cloudy showers, moderate rain locally, and sunny and cloudy in the rest of the Western Sichuan Plateau.
