The construction of 14 provincial characteristic industries in Zhejiang has a strong demand for young technical talents

In Pinghu, photoelectric and intelligent manufacturing industries gather, and enterprises have a strong demand for young technical talents. “We have explored and established a team of 478 ‘certified engineers’ and a team of’ certified engineers’ instructors with excellent professional ability and rich practical experience to provide guidance and help for young technical talents in enterprises in technology improvement, project application, problem solving, resource coordination, achievement protection, product technology identification and so on.” Recently, Zhou Linjie, director of Pinghu photoelectric and Intelligent Manufacturing Engineer Collaborative Innovation Center, told reporters that at present, the center has guided “certified engineers” to carry out or participate in more than 100 scientific research projects and applied for more than 30 technical achievements, effectively solving the growth bottleneck of young technical talents in enterprises.

At present, there are 14 provincial characteristic industrial engineer collaborative innovation centers like Pinghu. Some focus on emerging industries such as intelligent manufacturing, information technology, aerospace and optoelectronic new materials, and some focus on traditional industries such as electrical appliances, auto parts, textile printing and dyeing.

Since 2020, Zhejiang has explored the construction of a collaborative innovation center for characteristic industry engineers in the whole province. Through the mode of “one characteristic industry + one common technology platform + a group of sharing engineers”, Zhejiang has shared technology, achievements, talents and other resource elements, promoted the deep integration of talent chain, innovation chain and industry chain, and helped the transformation and upgrading of local characteristic industries. By the end of last year, the provincial engineer collaborative innovation center had gathered 2343 engineers, solved 146 common technical problems and transformed 290 technical achievements.

Originally, it was difficult for enterprises to “fight alone” to attract talents and overcome industrial core technologies. Many small and medium-sized enterprises could not attract, support or retain high-level engineers. With the engineer Collaborative Innovation Center, we can build a “talent reservoir” in a multi pronged manner. For the technical problems that are difficult to solve by a single enterprise, the center can give full play to the advantages of resource agglomeration, promote the central engineers and relevant technical personnel of the enterprise to jointly tackle key problems, support industrial transformation and upgrading and accelerate development.

After the establishment of Wenling electromechanical characteristic industry engineer Collaborative Innovation Center, it focused on the three technical bottlenecks of “motor, fluid and electronic control” that restrict the transformation of electromechanical products, and introduced R & D and innovation resources from Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Jiangsu University and other universities. The center and Tsinghua University carried out 16 common technical problems such as low vibration permanent magnet DC motor, which effectively promoted the overall improvement of the local electromechanical industry.

In addition to the provincial engineer collaborative innovation centers, cities and counties also make scientific plans in combination with the actual industrial development. At present, 50 engineer collaborative innovation centers at the municipal and county levels have been built. For example, Jiaxing took the lead in formulating the measures for the construction and management of Jiaxing characteristic industrial engineers Collaborative Innovation Center (Trial), and built a “pyramid” construction echelon with full coverage at the provincial, municipal and county levels. At present, the city has 1 provincial pilot unit, 8 municipal units and 10 units to be declared. (reporter Shen Yin)
