create a new EVM wallet and fund it with at least 1 ETH faucet on the holesky chain.

you can obtain ETH faucet here

replace <hex-private-key> with your wallet private key

eigenlayer operator keys import --key-type ecdsa chainbase <hex-private-key>

# move eigenlayer ecdsa file to current directory

This is a prompt asking you to enter a password to encrypt the ECDSA private key.

1. create the config file

eigenlayer operator config create

when prompted, set operator address, holesky rpc URL

The command will create two files: operator.yaml and metadata.json.

1. edit metadata.json and set your operator name, logo image public URL, website, and Twitter account. upload the file to a publicly accessible location.

   Operator registration only supports .png images for now and must be less than 1MB in size.

2. open operator.yaml file and set your metadat.json public URL for field metadata_url

   

if you're using github for hosting make sure you link to raw file (example) rather than the github repo URL (example).

open avs.toml file set ./operator.yaml for field operator_config_path and your eigenlayer password for field keystore_pwd

before running docker containers open operator.yaml file and replace private_key_store_path field value with /opt/chainbase.ecdsa.key.json

make sure your operator is healthy

find your operator link

eigenlayer operator status operator.yaml

and send it to Chainbase discord server as a proof

and fill out this form:

download and run the script

pass your operator address and ecdsa password that you setted before to the script

the script will apply the changes that are need and start containers again

make sure all four docker containers are running

check chainbase-node and prometheus
