We think it’s nounish to give our players the perfect runway of opportunity, which is why we didn’t settle for anything but the best when selecting a partner. We quickly recognized the perfect fit with the Mind Body team. They also did their own research, taking the time to understand the Nouns model and its peculiar dynamics.
We recognize the importance player wellness has in competitive success. The International 2022 winning coach Aui_2000 recently credited his teams’ success to their psychologist Dan Abhrams, calling his support “integral” and “clearly demonstrated the impact a sports psychologist can have in esports.” Because we agree with Aui’s assessment on the importance of wellness, we’ll be committing upwards of 10% of our total budget from Prop 263 towards this partnership with Mind Body.
Edward and his team have been working extensively with our CSGO and Dota teams for the past two months.
Our Dota team had a remarkable victory against TSM in the DPC, securing us an invite to the Bali Major. Our carry player Yamsun shared his elation in the post-game interview, crediting Edward for helping him develop the resiliency needed to bounce back after a game one loss. While originally working with our team remotely, Edward will be joining our Dota squad in person at Bali, where a great result can secure us invites to the Riyadh Masters and The International.
With our CSGO team, Mind Body Esports has been collaborating closely with Coach Semphis during the ongoing roster shuffle, as we selected and are onboarding our newest player. We’re also preparing for an upcoming boot camp in Cologne next month to kick off things post-break.
