Thesis & Outlook
Crypto has come a long way since the introduction of the first smart contracts by Ethereum. However, many challenges remain to be solved. Many alternative L1s and L2s have created fragmented liquidity in DeFi which sooner or later must be merged again to improve the UX for the users. Decentralized applications will consolidate to reduce the friction for users and abstract away the underlying complexity of navigating through the crypto landscape. DAOs must find solutions for efficient and sustainable on-chain governance to constitute a feasible alternative for organizations beyond the scope of pure on-chain business models. Further, more advanced, and hopefully progressive regulations will require advanced technical solutions. This provides tremendous potential for privacy-preserving and decentralized identity solutions.
We believe that many of the current challenges in the crypto space will be solved in the coming years leading to further adoption and another explosion of interesting business models and opportunities for teams to develop.
