Microsoft Xbox series X development kit exposure, up to 40Gb gddr6 memory

Gamers nexus purchased an Xbox series X development kit, a special game console designed for game development with 40Gb gddr6 memory.

The development kit (also known as XDK) obtained by gamers nexus is the 2020 development kit. It has a completely different design from the retail version and adopts amd APU code named “Scarlett”. The APU is equipped with an 8-core AMD zen2 architecture CPU and an rDNA “Navi” graphics processing unit with 56 computing units.

In addition, the disassembled development kit is not the 16GB gddr6 memory obtained by ordinary users, but a huge 40Gb. According to disassembly, XDK is equipped with 40Gb Samsung gddr6 memory with a main frequency of 14 Gbps. It is unclear whether XDK divides the memory into three blocks like the retail version: 2.5Gb for the operating system, 3.5GB for the system memory and 10GB for graphics.
