Fellowship / Award: The Met Museum:
Create a new project using the Met's Collection for an Interdisciplinary Fellowship. Open to all international artists, this 12-month residency in New York City offers $47,000 - $57,000 and up to $6,000 for travel. Undergrad/postgrad transcripts are required. Apply here.
Exhibition / Award: Smithsonian Portrait Gallery:
The Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition seeks excellence in portraiture, accepting all mediums, including video and digital art.Located in Washington, DC, this competition offers awards of $25,000, $10,000, $7,500, $1,000, and a commissioned portrait in the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery. The deadline is January 26, 2024. Apply here.
Exhibition / Residency / Award: Bruce Museum:
The Bruce Museum in Greenwich, CT, invites artists of all backgrounds and mediums to apply for an open-theme exhibition and a 9-month residency.
The award includes a $35,000 stipend, $8,000 for materials, and a $500 lecture honorarium. The deadline is October 7, 2023. Apply here.
Residency / Award: The Smithsonian:
The Audrey Flack Short Term Residency in Washington, DC, focuses on scholarly writing and research about American art. Open to international applicants, the one-month residency offers a $5,000 stipend for travel to DC and living expenses for the month. The deadline is February 1, 2024. Apply
