We’ve celebrated the success of Squid’s first year all month long, leading up to the BIG day. This is it, Squids. We are thrilled to announce that Squid has raised an additional $4m in a strategic funding round led by Polychain Capital, with participation from Nomad Capital, North Island Ventures, Maelstrom, Chorus One, The Department of XYZ, Breed, Binary Builders, and Typhon Ventures, along with follow-on investments from Distributed Global, Fabric Ventures, Node Capital, and Chapter One, and 30+ angels.

Squid is a small but mighty team, and we are extremely grateful for the support that has helped us grow to where we are now and supports our future growth too. With the additional support from this recent funding, we aim to carry on with our mission of cross-chain expansion, alleviating the complexity of moving between chains for users and teams alike.

We’ve had a blast celebrating with you all this month and are delighted to be starting 2024 on such a positive note. We’ve recapped our cross-chain milestones from 2023 and introduced Squid Maxi of the Month, now it’s time to share our most recent raise and the exciting plans we have in store for 2024. Let’s dive in.

Our mission at Squid is to power accessibility across chains, enabling interoperability for all teams, projects, and users. We not only provide the product to make the experience seamless from start to finish, but the tools as well.

We support over 60 EVM and Cosmos chains on our Squid App, so that users can swap the assets they have on one chain, for the assets they desire on another chain. With Squid Boost, users can complete their swaps between and across chains in just 20 seconds. We recently launched Squid NFT Checkout, so that users can have the same cross-chain access for collecting, minting, and deploying NFTs. Users can easily buy NFTs from any chain directly on Squid NFT Checkout and can even do so on OpenSea, with our Buy Button chrome extension.

On the integration side, Squid’s SDK, API, and Widget integration allow ease of integration for any developer, building on any chain. Squid’s wide array of integration tools empower teams with the cross-chain capabilities they specifically need, from one-click deposits and cross-chain onboarding, to 20 second swapping, minting, and more. Squid has it all.

Our goals moving forward are aligned with our achievements so far, as we aim to provide users and teams with continuous cross-chain support. As we maintain our strong foundation from this past year, we also aim to expand our support across EVM, Cosmos, and beyond. We intend to deepen our integration capabilities for dApps, allowing users to easily interact with a wide variety of applications cross-chain, from DeFi to gaming.

Already with Squid you can swap tokens, you can purchase NFTs, and you can even combine actions, like swapping assets and depositing into DeFi protocols, in a single click.
